So 3 pounds should last a while. **Q: I dry brine my steaks for 1-2 days before cooking and don’t need to add additional salt. Is it possible to order a salt free Carnivore Black?** A: That's a great question but I don't know. I can tell you from experience that it's not by any means over salty. You can always add a little, try it and see, if it's too salty try adding some at the beginning of your brine and holf off on other salted seasonings **Q: Salt, pepper, garlic, onion, et al, make sense, because they add flavors. Why dust my steak with charcoal? Remove flavors?
