ER605 - Really happy with this as a home user who just wanted vLANs
I think this router is great value for only £50. Even though I had to also buy a wireless access point for ~£40 for this setup to fully replace my ISP router, it still came in much cheaper than other "prosumer" routers with built in wireless. I just wanted to segment my network into two vLANs so I could host a minecraft server from my house on an isolated vLAN and then have all my personal stuff on the other. This router has done the job perfectly. I didn't need to use an omada controller or anything additonal, the built in router management page let me do everything needed, and it was (fairly) straightforward to set up everything up. The router just plugged straight into my BT ONT box and worked, I just had to enter in my ISPs credentials which Plusnet helpfully provides on a help page. Managed to replace my ISP router entirely. The router even supports geo-blocking in the ACL rules which was a surprise to me, I was able to set up a rule to only connections to my server from UK IP addresses, great!

if you want load balancing go for it, cost effective solution.
This is a very good bit of kit, well priced and the functionality is great. I was debating buying another Draytek router for the load balance facility or try this out. I have a 5G router plus an ADSL landline, I had been using my Draytek router to balance between 5G and landline. I ended up finding that the TP link unit will load balance up to 4 lines. the good part with this unit is that you can use you ISP standard equipment and plug and play no issues if one drops or if one is performing better than the other, the load balance unit will take care of it. In a nut shell if you want redundancy from multiply internet connections this will save you a lot of time and money. the Draytek unit although it can do more will cost around 6 time the cost. being able to use other providers equipment to feed into the one route also provides greater resilience.

Very Good
Seems to do everything I want, which is to give my children one adsl line while the adults get another (thereby saving arguments.) The ideal solution if you're in a poor internet area and need two incoming ADSL lines to satisfy the household demand. Worked almost out of the box, it came with a european type lead, so a new lead had to be got before it worked otherwise it would have got 5 stars.

Great bit of kit to replace your ISP router
I got one of these routers to totally replace a plusnet (BT) full fibre router. It's really good and lets you setup VPNs very easily. It was noticeably faster loading web pages on my 500mbit FTTP connection. The box replaces the plusnet router totally, wan port going to the openreach socket, lan to a gigabit switch in my setup. It doesn't do concurrent wan connections though ... so you can't have a 5G router on as well as the fibre. It will let you setup the 5G as a secondary wan failover, but then you're paying for the connection and only using it on the off chance the fibre goes down. I have it in combination with mesh wifi boxes from mercusys that are excellent at getting a decent roaming wifi6 connection in the whole house and even at the far end of the garden. If you didn't have cat6 around the house you could plug the master wifi box directly into the router and still have a couple of lan ports available to plug in a NAS for example.

Simple, but great value for money
This is a very low cost multi-WAN router with some VPN features and simple firewall. I needed this as a temporary quick fix to plug in while migrating between two much more complex routers. At first i thought it wasn't working as I couldn't access the management interface. It turns out it takes several minutes to boot up after applying power. Once you're in it's easy enough, I configured two WANs in failover mode. On testing it switched over to the backup WAN about 30 seconds after the primary WAN went down, which was fine for my needs. I couldn't see that it had any internal DNS server, so I didn't actually bother trying to hook up the VPNs. It was transferring 900mbps WAN connections with no problem at all. If you just need something cheap and simple to give you multi-WAN backup then this seems like great value for money. It can't do anything too complex, but you would have to spend a lot more money for that.

Don’t understand all the praise this gets
Terrible performance for a modern home network. I run a Virgin Hub in modem mode connected to a TP link Deco WiFi mesh. I got this with the intention of having a 4G router attached to this as a second WAN for a failover connection should Virgin ever go for as I work from home and staying connected is important for me. I did a lot of research before buying this and a lot of reviews and AI suggestions pushed me towards this as a small business level router with excellent reliability for a low price. Interestingly the lack of a proper QOS did not come up at all while reading. Once installed in my home I wasn’t able to run Teams calls without everybody complaining of me freezing repeatedly. Despite tinkering no end with its archaic port based QOS system and bandwidth control settings it made no difference. I’ve returned it for ASUs’ EBG wired router instead (look up EBG15 or EBG19 if you need more than 5 ports). Both do failover 4G backup faster, have a really user friendly system and great QOS. No Teams complains with those. I’d avoid this if using it for any real modern purpose.

Solid performance - A huge upgrade from my old setup!
I’ve gone through a few networking configurations over the years. I'm stuck on a slow FTTC connection (still waiting for FTTP) and originally ran a TP-Link VR900 in modem/router mode, later switching to a cheap TD-W9970 when the VR900 started playing up. For Wi-Fi, I used a Tenda MW6 mesh system (four nodes in total). The internet connection was rarely stable - daily dropouts were common, and Tenda’s performance felt limited. Neither the modem/router nor the mesh system could handle the sheer number of devices in my home (The house is fully networked with Excel Cat6, all terminating in a network cabinet in the dormer loft). I was on the verge of spending a fortune on Ubiquiti gear, but with a tight budget and assistance from ChatGPT, I decided to try Omada instead, and I’m glad I did. If Ubiquiti is the Apple of networking (polished, closed ecosystem, expensive), then Omada is like Android - flexible, capable, and much better value. I swapped the four Tenda MW6 nodes for two TP-Link Omada EAP653 UR access points (one wired, one wireless), added this ER605 gateway, and paired it all with an OC200 controller. I swapped the TP-link modem(s) for a 'used' DrayTek Vigor 130, which has been bulletproof. Since then, stability has been flawless and performance has improved across the board. Managing the network with Omada is night and day compared to my old setup. Device management is excellent - you can see real-time connections, monitor logs, review network attacks, and keep track of performance with ease. The Omada app makes this even better, letting you manage everything from anywhere. Whether Omada is better than Ubiquiti, I can’t say for certain, but considering I have a whole network upgrade for less than a Ubiquiti UniFi Dream Machine Pro, I'm happy with my choice.

Know its limits
It works well especially in the wider Omada ecosystem. I have it paired with a Starlink modem, an SG2210MP switch and a couple of EAP723 access points. I run Omada controller in docker rather than on the dedicated OC200 device and it is, for the most part, quite easy to set up and use. I was easily able to set up an IoT VLAN and IoT WLAN on a new subnet for example. The thing that’s lacking, very sorely, are firewall ACLs. Notably, it is impossible to route IPv6 traffic from the WLAN to a client on the network on a specific port. There are a number of support posts related to this on the TP-Link community site. As I’m on Starlink and IPv4 is CGNAT-ed, IPv6 is my only non-VPN option for accessing my network. It’s not possible to just Tailscale all the things! As a result, I will eventually replace this device with the Unifi Cloud Gateway Ultra, which has proven IPv6 firewall capabilities, though at double the price of the ER605, and I will miss the tight integration of the Omada UI.

Bom na função de Load Balance
Adquiri para fazer failover entre dois links de internet, para evitar quedas durante o trabalho remoto.. Mas ele ainda consegue balancear bem entre os dois links a ponto de não sobrecarregar nenhum. Único contra, no caso deste anuncio, é que parecia ser da versão R480 pela foto, mas na verdade foi entregue o R470. Mas para a minha necessidade está suficiente e o preço também foi compatível. Bom Custo beneficio, considerando que é possível fazer o balanceamento manual, mas requer muitos conhecimentos avançados de rede e sistemas operacionais, mas com esse aparelho é praticamente "plugar e usar". Recomendo o produto (TL-R470T+)

Good and solid performer device
Product is working as advertised which is an entry level load balancer router which support multiple WAN. Solid performance and able to reach the advertised NAT throughput constantly.

It WORKS!!!
Our rural location has lots of mountains, tall trees, wild berries and wildlife, but no broadband Internet service. We started with an AT&T/Netgear 4G LTE hotspot, but that had data limits which we exceeded. We added satellite-based Internet services HughesNet and Viasat - but they both have data limits and they have extreme upstream/upload latency issues relative to our real-time data needs. Finally, we added a local DSL service that is limited to about 500kBPS. That's four ISP sources and none of them performed well for us... The TP-Link Load Balance Broadband Router was the last option remaining for improving our total data capacity (by aggregation across all four provider services) and improving our real-time data performance which includes significant upstream transmission where low latency matters. Installation and setup were relatively easy; no surprises. I'm a 100% self-taught IT guy, with no professional training. The hardest part was figuring out that there were IP address conflicts between the four ISP modems on the WAN side; once I resolved the IP address conflicts between the two satellite services, the 4G LTE hotspot and the DSL modem, the system worked and the results were a great improvement for us overall. Long story short: Without the TP-Link Load Balance Broadband Router, we would not have been able to fully function in spite of having FOUR "high speed Internet" service providers. With this device, which distributes the traffic intelligently across all four ISP's, latency is reduced and aggregate data capacity is achieved, which helps us avoid data limit throttles, additional fees, or even service suspension imposed by the ISP's for data usage. We appreciate the product and the people behind it; glad we decided to buy it.

Estoy utilizando este Ruter para sumar la velocidad del internet proveniente de dos proveedores distintos, solo requirió algunos ajustes menores para funcionar como lo quería
