If you're not buying Mylars, this is your next best bet. Also, always buy silver age bags and boards. They comfortably fit Silver Age, Bronze Age and Modern Age books. Plus your boxes will look so much better if all your bags and boards are the same size.

These are the most basic polyethylene bags. They hold my Bronze Age books with a standard board. The bags will last about 3-4 years, then they will need to be replaced as they will wrinkle and sometimes turn yellow. If you want something that will last longer you need to get Mylar (archival polyester) bags like Mylites. I actually usually re-bag about every five years and my comics are fine. The costs of these is average. I can sometimes find them for less at local shops, but you cannot beat the convenience. I would recommend these for someone wanting to protect their collection for short term, or to bag them up and seal them for while and not expose them to light or temperature/humidity fluctuations. Also, shipping warning: My bags were shipped in a thin envelope so they did get a bit wrinkled., but are still usable.

These days I only buy BCW bags and boards. I think they fit better and I trust the materials they have been made from.

These comic bags are a great find. They’re what I’d describe as average run of the mill bags. I’ve ordered over 500 and have not experienced any abnormal bags, so they’re definitely consistent. They aren’t the thickest or thinnest bags I’ve ever felt. I’d say 2 mil is about right. Where these babies really shine is the price and the speed at which they arrive. Only a few Pennie’s each and here the next day. I’ll keep ordering these for a while.
