Mark McNairyF--k Ivy and Everything Else

I was excited to read and explore this book, but was really disappointed. On the one hand, there is probably fewer than 200 words printed inside (exception made for the introduction by Nick Wooster). On the other hand, there are only a handful of photos of Mark McNairy's styled looks. It's just not an interesting book with much to offer, and while Mark attempts to be nonchalant and rebellious in his tone, it really just comes across as condescending and snobbish (there's even a joke about how people who wear Old Navy choose to broadcast that they're poor). I bought this books with high hopes, but in the ten minutes it took to read it, I was completely let down, learned nothing, and was inspired by nothing. There are better books available for those interested in menswear written by more serious and interesting authors, and I encourage those in the market to keep searching.

I love this book and Mark McNairy's subversive take on ivy style.I like how Mark successfully brings together traditional street style with ivy/trad/prep style.This would make a great coffee table book.Great pictures and a fun read - highly recommended.

Rules are rules, but when you know them you can break them. That's pretty much the mantra of the text. Read it, it's sardonic, and a laugh a minute, sarcastic, and sometimes a bit precious. After reading and indulging in some of the advice, my style has been pretty consistently complimented. Gifted the book after several uses to a friend who's experiencing similar results.

Great Gift for anyone!

If you don't have the time or attention span to delve deeply into the history of denim or Japanese influence on men's (and women's) fashion, let this be your answer. In his signature sardonic tone, McNairy educates us about the tenets of style. Learn about classic Americana style and how to effortlessly integrate that in your daily style.Trust me - this book should be on every man's shelf and should be read front to back.

I don't know why but I loved it.... If you have a interest for fashion or do no know where to begin read this and you will not be disappointed.

The gospel according to Mark!!!

Possibly the worse book I ever bought. There was hardly any substance to the material. When asked why he did book, Mark McNairy replied simply, "For the money". He was telling the truth.

Visualmente es un libro bonito, puede servir como inspiración a la hora de vestirse o en general, pero no era exactamente lo que yo buscaba. Lo he devuelto porque esperaba algo menos abstracto, pero supongo que será lo que otros puedan buscar en un libro así.
