All 3 cats give this 5 stars, so does the cat guardian!
This is a great brush and has quickly become the go-to in our house for brushing all three of our cats. We have a 2-year old long haired Ragdoll who has never had coat problems before this spring. Ragdolls don't have an undercoat, but all of a sudden he's got mats everywhere, even with regular brushing. It got so bad we've had to cut them out, and seems especially bad on one side. Maybe the side he sleeps on most? Maybe he's loosing his kitty coat? I don't know, but it's terrible and he looks awful! This brush has made a huge difference even in the week we've had it, and he LOVES to be brushed with it! It's taking the mats out without hurting him, it's taking out a lot of hair, again without pain, and his coat looks so much better. He definitely prefers the short side of the comb and seems to really get into it.One of our cats, a regular haired Siamese mix doesn't like to be brushed and won't sit still for it. With this comb, he comes and asks to be brushed! He'll flip from one side to the other, give me his belly, and pull the comb back if I take it away for too long. It's really funny! He really loves it, and it has removed some hair from him, maybe a palm full. We took off a half a cat from the Ragdoll! But the Siamese boy just loves how it feels, and he's never accepted any other type of brush this way so it must feel really good, if nothing else! The handle is really nice, too. It's very comfortable to hold, and has a gel-like feeling to it. I'm not sure if it's gel-filled, but it gives that sort of feeling, kind of like a memory foam give that bounces back. It's very sturdy and seems to be made well. The color isn't quite as bright blue as the picture shows, which I was fine with. It's quite a nice color if that sort of thing is important to you. It's a softer medium blue. The silver tip has a hole in it so you could hang it up, or tie a string or piece of leather through it and hang it that way if you were so inclined. The customer service was amazing, I got a follow up email and reply from the owner within a week of receiving it. I appreciated the personal attention and the opportunity to ask questions, voice my opinions and give my feedback directly. The only suggestion I had was that there be some kind of instructions. I wish I knew for sure I was using the short side correctly. The cats are giving good feedback though, in demanding that I keep doing it, so something must be right! None of them are bald yet, so that's a good thing, too! I'm just not sure if that side can be over-used, or is a blade, or if I can use it as much as I want. It'd be nice to have that information since this is the first time I've ever used anything like this.I think I'll be buying a second one to have on hand, because there's never a brush around at the right moment it seems. Based on my cats' reactions, and the huge difference it's made in the long, full coat of my Ragdoll, I'd highly recommend this De-shedding tool! Heck, I might even try it on my horse!

Works Well
My cat doesn't like to sit still for brushing. He attacks any brush I use. That said, this tool seems to work well. I got out a good amount of cat hair using both sides of this tool. Hair does stick to the handle, but it's easy enough to wipe or rinse off. At least it keeps the fur from flying off.

Not for short, smooth coated dogs.
This may work a lot better on dogs with longer coats. I have a boxer, so short, smooth coat. She sheds a lot and I was hoping this would help. It doesn't remove the loose hair at all on her. I have a small toothed rubber slicker brush and it picks up tons more hair on her than this does and it was a lot cheaper too! Probably fine for longer coated dogs, just doesn't work on short, smooth coats.

Works great, but.....
I shopped around a bit after seeing a similar de-shedding tool at the Del Mar Fair for $30. The small toothed side works amazingly well removing tons of fur and my cat seems mesmerized with it, demanding more and more, purring, and pacing back and forth in front of me while I pull off more fur than I thought possible. The large tooth side doesn't do anything worthwhile. I'd settle for just the small tooth side on both sides facing opposite directions to make hair removal faster. My major complaint is the silicone handle. It is too mushy restricting the amount of pressure possible, and it seems actually a little sticky, attracting a great deal of fur sticking to the handle making it difficult and uncomfortable to hold. A solid plastic handle would be a better choice. I may look into another tool with a better handle and no large comb.

Best dog comb EVER!
I was skeptical when I first ordered this comb. But I cannot believe how AMAZING it is!! I have a lab/put mix with short hair and this comb has done a fabulous job at getting rid of my dog’s undercoat, getting rid of any dry skin, especially when he had allergies, and leaving his coat beautiful and shiny. I would highly recommend this tool!!

The Reslynn De-Shedding tool I bought is easy to use and works well
The Reslynn De-Shedding tool I bought is easy to use and works well.I'm using it on two Siamese (short hair, thin coat) cats. I have learned it is very important to go slowly, use the brush only a short time, and to pay close attention to the cats. I think tools such as this have potential to cause pain, so I use it gently. It seems that the cats enjoy the sensation when I groom them in areas that they like to be petted in, which is the head, chin, behind ears, the chest. The cats are more likely to show a pain response if I use the tool on their back or base of tail, but cats generally dislike being touched in these places, anyway. If I am slow, careful and respectful I can quickly generate impressive piles of fur. Go slowly, respect your cat.

Nice comb that fits nicely in your hand
My kitty is a Ragdoll cat with a thick fine undercoat. The product came today and works so well. She loves toBe combed with it as it is gentle but does a good job. The fine comb removes the loose undercoat hair.

My cats loves it as much as I do!!!
I have a short haired black cat and this brush works super well with him. I use the shorter side of the brush and it gets a lot of his loose hairs. The good thing is that since the comb's teeth is very close together, the hair stays on the brush and is easy to clean. He likes it a lot too. I can tell by his purring ;)The handle is also really cool because it has a jelly feel to it. It has a very comfortable grip. I have used the longer side of the comb but I think this is more for long haired cats. All in al this is a pretty good brush. If I ever needed another one I would buy it again.
