What an incredible thing to have a book on such a specific topic our kids can relate to in their Islamic faith, especially as minority Muslims in the US . This was a great gift for my 7 year old who fasted her first Ramadan this year. It was challenging enough for her age and the story so relatable. I enjoyed it as much as my daughter did. Love that it's a chapter book, nice simple illustrations to keep it light, amazing choose your story options as you go make it all the more fun and encourages re-reading multiple times. The story allows for great discussion on challenges kids may encounter when fasting and shows Isa's character maturing throughout the story.We noticed some minor typos but nothing that takes away from the story.

Loved it, especially since my sons name is Isa. I’m so glad to have such a well thought out resource, not just about what is fasting and rulings - but this lays out a story of tough things a child may face while fasting and they experience it through the character and their choices as readers decided what happens to the characters story.

My 8 year old thoroughly enjoyed this book and it was the perfect book to gift her on the eve of Ramadan as it was her first year fasting. She read the book in one sitting and was able to enjoy it all over again by making different choices along the book.As part of home schooling we discussed it book report style. This book offers a perfect mix of humor, empathy and courage. My daughter's favorite part was the strong bond of friendship described so well in Isa's First Fast. A must in your child's library.

We bought this book for my son as a gift for completing his first fast in Ramadan and he loves it! He just turned six and is a new reader, so he is finding it a great challenge. He has not finished the book yet but is able to sit and read it on his own, really likes getting to make choices to choose his own adventure. We also got it for his best friend who also did his first fast this year, and I think it would make a great gift tradition to give to kids who are just learning to fast. Really wonderful!

This is a great book to have in our Islamic book collection! Although my child is not of fasting age, he still enjoyed listening to the story and deciding what happens next. I remember how much I enjoyed ‘choose your own adventure’ books when I was younger. This is great because this genre in incorporated into an Islamic book! I love that my child enjoys reading and also learning about fasting at the same time!

Wonderfully written book! It literally tells the raw and real feelings of a child when keeping their first fast! I bought this book for my 9 year old son and 6 year old daughter and have been reading a few pages almost every night to them. This has been their favorite book this Ramadan! They have really enjoyed making a choice for Isa and reading about the results of his actions!

Thiss book has been so relatable for my child who has been keeping all her fasts this year. It talks about all the questions & fears kids have when they fast for the first time. And you definitely can’t beat the price. I got a bunch to give away as gifts too. Even i read the book & thoroughly enjoyed it!
