It is a small book, but I find that a pro. Too many recipes can be overwhelming for kids. And, yes, there are some duplicate recipes. I own all of the Forest feast cookbooks and my kids don’t give much thought to them, but this book belongs to them. That ownership really changes their perspective. I have one son who is fairly picky, but started planning meals from this book and enjoying them! He discovered he loves peppers after making the pesto pepper pizza (even though I have been pleading with him to try them for years) and the kale and black bean tacos and butternut squash quesadillas were a hit as well. I find it easy to sub out ingredients if you cannot find them. Sweet potato works just as well as squash. Any apple can be used in a recipe that calls for them, and so on... I am very pleased with this book.
