Good / cheap lighting for casual use at dawn/dusk - Just know it's limitations
The headlight does give off a good amount of light to make you visible to cars and other bikers/pedestrians day or night but the lack direction makes it almost useless in terms of lighting up your path unless you're cruising at a very very slow pace. Overall, for city biking it's helpful just to make sure you'll be seen by others. The taillight is definitely much brighter than a comparable non-chargable light I had previously purchased off Amazon that looks almost identical so I'm happy with it for my needs but if you're relying on this for daily rides in the dark you might want something a little more substantial that will give you 180 degrees of light.Overall, for a cheap set of lights just to use every so often in moderate to low light conditions or as precautionary measure at dusk or dawn these are nice lights. If you need to light up your dark path and if you ride often enough in very dark conditions with cars zooming by then I would definitely find brighter lights that can be seen a little more from the sides.

If you are looking for a sweet light get the Infini Lava Light
Can you say POS!First I should say these come with no Instructions so you are on your own to figure things out. Press the red button on the headlight and it goes on. Press it again to change the brightness. Turn it off??? Oh yes, hold the button for about 3 seconds. I know it said it would flash. Oh, yes, hold the button for about 3 seconds. Plug it in to charge and it's toast. It just won't work anymore. I ordered two of these and they are going back.If you are looking for a sweet light get the Infini Lava Light. So sweet!Oh, yes, I paid for these and no one paid me or gave me free products to write this honest assessment.

they're both good and bright
For as cheap as they were, they certainly get the job done.THEY ARE NOT illuminating lights. They are definitely awareness lights. I've boosted the headlight up to full a couple times and tried to ride the bike path at night and it did virtually nothing. That said, they're both good and bright, and certainly make sure that cars know I'm there.

OK visibility in dim light.
While not excessively bright, these lights give me some confidence about being seen when riding my bike at dawn or dusk. They recharge easily. To really ensure being seen in broad daylight, larger lights would be advisable. My main protection in bright sunlight is a blaze-orange tee shirt.

Not practical - No blinking
CONS: - very hard to unclip the light from the strap: the strap-mount keeps on rotating when trying to remove the light from it (I think the rotating capability is supposed to be an adjustment for the angle of the light) - NO BLINKING: only 3 modes and not 6 as advertised - not very bright - one of the single LED in the array of LEDs does not workPROS: - no battery, USB rechargeableSUMMARY: I will have to buy a new light ....

OK for the price but not overwhelming.
OK for the price but not very bright and, in particular, rear light is of very poor quality. Always takes multiple tries to switch it on/off and I don't expect it to last very long.

It's OK. But not secure
OK but cheep quality. securing devices are made of rubber and easy to steal. Head light on the head woks fine. In all not a bad buy for the money.

Stay Safe While Getting Healthy!
So one of my new favorite ways to get exercise is cycling. I know what you're thinking... NO! This was absolutely my first thought too! My husband can be very persuasive, though. So I got a bike! I got a nice cushy comfort cruiser and I also got one of those helmets that make me look like I'm going fast (whether I am or not). I also got some safety lights. Because let's be honest with ourselves, riding a bicycle with the blazing sun beating down is zero fun and quite frankly stressful! So riding at night is way better because it's cooler and also I will be a lot less likely to be seen if I happen to wind up wheels up. I prefer riding in low-light areas.I was lucky enough to receive these awesome Bright Outdoors bike lights for test and review! So nice of them to send me lights that are waaaaay better than these dinky little lights that I was using. So I immediately got excited about these lights when I realized that they were rechargeable! These lights are rechargeable with a micro USB cable which means that they can be plugged into just about any USB port and left to recharge! This is great news because I will not have to search for specialty batteries or unique cables that will just end up clogging my junk-drawer.After unboxing and preliminary charging, I powered up the headlight! This thing is bright! It is bright, lightweight and compact! Have I mentioned it's rechargeable! There are few things that get me more excited than convenience and safety, here are both! This tiny little light is super bright and can be spotted from more than a mile away in broad daylight! This tiny little light is super bright and can be spotted from more than a mile away in broad daylight! Both lights are water-resistant and can be installed in seconds without tools! The headlight's operation is obvious thanks to a red button on the top. The tail light's power button is integrated into the lens! Simply press the red lens to power on the light, cycle through the flashing or steady modes and then to turn the light off. The tail light also recharges with a micro USB cable. After unscrewing the tail lamp from the housing, you will see a micro USB charging port. This manufacturer knows how to bundle convenience!Overall, I am really impressed with these itty-bitty lights! They will help keep me safe on my journey to total health!
