Is anything else needed to operate? The manual diagram shows a check value. Also, can this be place directly on the basin bottom or is a riser needed?

Hi there, We do recommend a check valve within a foot or so from the base and attaching it directly to the pump is even better. Thanks.

a Normal house outlet of 110 to 120 Volts will work to run your pump . But if your elect go out your pump will not work.

Description says cast iron but looks like plastic

Hi there, This is a plastic base and column. The 92301 and 92551 have the cast iron base Thanks

Are you able to rotate the motor on the shaft to line up the discharge pipe and the float rod to fit the existing holes in your basin cover?

Yes I have to do that to fit in the sump hole which is a standard plastic 5 gallon bucket recessed in floor.
