This is very good quality, but the model is actually a repainted YF-22.
The model quality is great, but get this straight, people: It is not an F-22 Raptor. This is actually a YF-22 model, made back before the F-22 was even revealed, repainted to look like an F-22. You may notice the horizontal stabilizers are not the right shape, and the nose antenna that does not exist on the F-22. But beside that, the YF-22 is already very, very close to an F-22, so if you either use your imagination or get creative with tools (and proper safety precautions!) you can easily call this an F-22.

Not a toy, but beautifully made.
(husband review) 4 stars only because I'm an idiot. I got this with the incorrect expectations. I was tired of not finding a good looking airplane toy for my son (3 yrs). I saw this and despite the cost, I got excited. Let me reiterate, it is not a toy. Within hour 1, my son dropped it on it's top, busting the vertical stabilizers off and breaking the canopy. So, in saying all that, as a toy for a lil guy, it sucks. As the model it is designed to be though, it is a beautiful creation. The main body is very detailed and cast iron so it's extremely solid and rather heavy for the size. I would highly recommend it for the shelf piece it is suppose to be, or for kids who hold onto things a bit better than a 2 -3 yr. old.

I wish it was bigger to match my other jets in my collection of die cast planes. Good replica nice detail. For the price wish it was bigger.

Was a hit with my plane loving partner
My boyfriend loves these guys. So it’s a cool gift for anyone with an Air Force or plane loving partner. He loved how it was a solid heavy model, and really liked that it had a stand so it was cooler on his desk than some of the cheap plastic models he had. He did a whole show and tell for his coworkers even. Can’t speak to the accuracy - it was the right color, though it was also much slower and quieter than the real ones. So 1/5 stars there.

Really great model!
This is a great model, the accuracy, detail, and overall design and model size is perfect! The stand is very easy to assemble and the value for money is well worth it
