This is a nice product but be sure NOT to overload it. I installed this on a trailer we have and it went on very nice and worked well. The next day my son took the trailer and when he tried to lift the ball off the vehicle, the ball stuck on the vehicle and he didn't notice. Now that he was not only lifting the trailer, he was now lifting the truck also. Too much weight. The wheel snapped off and broke in several pieces. When he tried to lift further, the gears in the end of the unit snapped in half. THIS WAS NO FAULT OF THE PRODUCT, IT WAS TRYING TO LIFT TOO MUCH WEIGHT!!. If you are using it for what it was designed for, I am sure it will last a long time. Just don't overload it.

There’s nothing fancy about this Jack, but it is well made and operates smoothly. Be careful not to overtighten the bolts or it will not swing up and down properly. Great value for the price.

Ingot this in march and installed around end of april. My boat was in covered storage due to a long work trip. When I came back around end of June the front tire was bent and the handle would not got down, it was stuck. There is no was this is that bad because its sitting in the elements. My last one lasted from 2016 till i replaced for this one. Not worth it, I wasted my money.

I have altered these tongue jacks for a chicken coop project. I used an angle grinder to cut off the wheel mount and then drilled a hole through the pipe of the jack to fit a jack foot. Then I drilled holes to mount caster wheels. The issue I have with the jack is the pipe of the jack as you extend or retract ends up turning the pipe which makes a double swivel motion and also seems to make it difficult to make a wheel stay put unless you put pressure with your foot against it to stop spinning while extending/retracting the jack. When moving this coop that weighs probably 400 lbs, it seems to be hardly holding its weight with two jacks. I cannot begin to think about how it would hold up with a trailer. All in all, this is a cheap option for DIY jacks and may be a good learning curve but I may recommend getting a square pipe jack if the swivel I spoke about is an issue.

Installed this on my little utility trailer. For a smaller trailer hauling less weight, I think it’s about perfect. Easy install and functions flawlessly.

Not bad to install. Definitely holds on solidly. And holds the boat up well. Would recommend if you need something like this for a lighter boat.

installed on a utility trailer which has slightly different mounting size so I had to open up some of the holes, but once installed it's great. i would like to have a way to keep the handle from drooping down when the jack is swiveled up. But that's the same issue with pretty much all of these types of jacks.
