Do not buy this fan unless you like wimpy fans. I thought 52-inch fans would have the same size parts. Unfortunately, I was mistaken.This fan has a tiny motor housing, skinny blades, and smaller downrod than normal (1/2 inch vs. the standard 3/4 inch that you can find in home improvement stores). Because of the search for a down rod that would fit, we waited too long to hang it so now it cannot be returned. All the parts are substandard (to Hunter, Hampton Bay etc.) If you do decide this is the fan for you, I recommend not using the instructions supplied (fully assembling blades, light kit, etc. before hanging it). The instructions with other brands have you install the down rod and then install the blades and light kit. Especially if you are using a long down rod, those instructions make more sense.We replaced a 52-inch Hunter with this one and it just looks wimpy and cheap by comparison.

The fan is beautiful. My problem is they sold a bundle with 2 extension rods. They will not work with the fan. We bought it due to a high ceiling and need the 2 extension rods to make it long enough to hang down so you could feel it. The 2 rods came with no instructions. You would think if they had the fan and the 2 rods as a add on to the ceiling fan they would fit.

This fan is beautiful and very functional. I got it for in my bedroom and I am very pleased with it. My landlord installed it for me and even he said it's an exceptionally pretty fixture. I did not get the long extended pole, which has to be ordered separately; rather, I used the short one that comes in the box. It works perfectly for my needs and I am so very happy with it!

Bought 2 of these in September 2018. They look great and work great, other than one went out at end of September this year, other one is still going strong. The one that died is one we used very little so maybe just a dud. Giving it 2 stars cause I've had ceiling fans that have lasted years and years but one of these only lasted a year.

We ordered these because they worked beautifully with the hardware in the house and the 2" wood blinds. How very easy to assemble and it allows for a light kit. If there are two switches for fan motor and one for light it is easy to find a ceiling light that conforms to the small fitter hole. You need to run a separate line to tie into the blue wire for the light.Didn't need the balance kit it is so smooth and quiet. " Energy Star " which is a huge bonus. I heard that Emerson is leaving the USA because of the Cap and Trade. Tax Sorry to see such a wonderful company leave. The smooth finishes on the metal parts are an example of good workmanship. I have other fans made elsewhere and they have cut me, Oh well get them while available they are wonderful.

Been up for a week or two now. Easy-ish to install and moves plenty of air for a guest room.

Quiet, works well, looks exactly as pictured, if not better!

Much much better than Hunter, this is definitely worth spending the little bit of extra money for these.
