A 2020 essential, what is wrong with America?
I purchased this American Standard bidet / washlet back when toilet paper was sold out everywhere in the first-second quarter of 2020. I also purchased a Toto G400 for my downstairs powder room. I first tried one in Vegas 10 years ago and fell in love. I don't know why I haven’t purchased one before but I will never going back to using a normal toilet, at least in my own home. The auto open is awesome. The seat heater is awesome. The sprayer is adjustable and water temps is adjustable while on demand hot. This American Standard includes a nightlight. My toto I also purchased for the downstairs bathroom, does not have the nightlight. Many features to adjust and choose from. I turned the auto flush off as it was kind of annoying. The only thing I like better about my Toto is the vertical smaller remote. I think it looks cleaner and more modern attached to the wall. The American Standard remote is horizontal and kind of bulky. I also lost the screw so I just used some strong adhesive for the back faceplate to stick to the wall. The remote just slides out of the back plate if you ever want to change some settings. Some say it’s boujee, but for me it makes it in the top 10 list of my life purchases :) why has the rest of America not caught on to these things yet?

Crazy expensive. . . but an amazing bidet.
I have the bidet. This bidet is designed to work specifically with the Clean 100 Spalet toilet only. It will not fit other models / brands of toilets.I have been using a different bidet which I thought was "fancy". But it does not compare to this one with all the different functions and perks of this one. Being able to adjust the heat. . oscillating or non-oscillating water. . . remote . . . and so on. . .. It's just amazing. It is crazy expensive, and to be honest, even with all of the features, I don't think it's worth the money. . . but. . . .If you're looking for an amazing bidet . . . This one is certainly it.

Terrible flush power
Flush power is miserable in a residential area. Tankless unit.No built in pump to increase flush power either.Terrible performance for an expensive unit.No support help to even resolve the issues.

I’m Halfway To The Finish
On the site for this very luxurious piece of kit it shows just the top portion of the bidet. It doesn’t show however that below the seat is a whole lot of inner workings that are permanently attached and required for the seat to work and function properly. In other words, the seat shown will only work for the one and only toilet that is made exclusively for it. Don’t know why they would be sold separately then because the one needs the other to operate. Not sure how to review this item without using it for a few weeks or at least a few days as I did with my current Bidet. This may be a ongoing process that plays out as I talk to the required people to try and get the bowl to this really gorgeous bathroom bidet setup. But for now I’ll go over the unit. It’s mostly well engineered and the parts and pieces fit nicely together and the gaps are straight and true and my eyes see the flow of them into each other seamlessly. So it’s easy on the eye and looks futuristic somewhat as it directly intakes water and doesn’t have a separate tank one would normally associate and see above the back of the bowl. The additional parts and pieces all came bagged and the instructions for installation are excellent and easily read. I won’t have a problem with setup when I do get a bowl because they are well documented. The remote has all the functionality of the bidet covered and I’ll mount it on the wall next to it. I have a outlet already installed and it’s rated properly for this toilet. It has multiple built in features that drew me to it instantly so I was thrilled to get it. As I said, the site didn’t show the inner working below the seat cover so it looks like it could be placed on any elongated toilet. I’ll update if and when with all it can do once I’v got it fully installed and operational. But with my hands on inspection the quality is there and the associated pieces and parts are well made and of good quality as well. Longevity of course comes with time and I’ll cover that in the future. Four Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!!

Only for use on specific 100 SpaLet Toilet
This American Standard SpaLet Bidet seat can only be used on the American Standard Clean 100 SpaLet Toilet. I'm not sure why it is sold separately, unfortunately based on the photo I thought it could be used on any elongated toilet. But it is a much larger, more involved unit that requires the Advanced Clean 100 Bowl. I wish the write-up would have included that, it is only detailed in the Q&A.This Bidet Seat is very high quality and has all the features I wanted. I'll provide another update once I can purchase the related bowl and install it.

Wonderful Electric Toilet with Difficult Installation
We love this toilet and had it in a previous home so we were thrilled to buy it again, this time from Amazon. Once installed it's just wonderful and works as our other one did. But, we had to get an electrician to install an outlet near the floor to plug it in, and had to get a plumber to move the source of the water as it was just in the wrong place for the connection. This was after we measured and did not expect to have to do the latter. Finally, putting one of the final clamps on to finish the job took two of us and it was still extremely difficult.
