These hooks perfectly fit EWPC11 Picture Hanging Rail Moulding also sold on Amazon. I soaked the hooks in denatured alcohol to remove any grease before painting black (along with the rail.)

I used these products to hang my paintings and pictures. They are sturdy and what I expected them to be. Identical to the old ones I have. Gold plating is not that great but will be keeping them. I recommend.

Fits the sample picture rail molding we have perfectly.
I can't say how well they hold a picture as we have not installed. But when I put them on the small sample (10 inches maybe?) picture rail, I was amazed at how perfectly the hook fit the molding. We have an odd situation, a pitched roof creates an angle on the wall I'd like to use this feature and an air return vent over the door creates a problem. I'm not even sure now that we'll be able to use the rail molding. If we can work it out I'll try to update this post.

Work great for original 1900 picture rail
These are really sturdy and fit the picture rail in my 1900 queen Anne perfectly and I mean PERFECTLY. The only improvement I'd recommend is the hanging part. I'm hanging a few rugs with deco chain and the bottom mount is too thick for normal deco chain. It'd be nice if there were a version with a thinner lip. The existing lip is perfectly fine for hanging mirrors or picture frames as intended.I have no doubt I could rip the picture rail from the wall before these bent or broke. Very nice product.

Perfect for older molding
I had previously purchased some other picture rail hooks, but they only fit the newer picture real trim that I had to install during my renovation. This picture rail hook is very sturdy, does not bend too much and was perfect for the remaining 1920s trim.

Excellent hooks for hanging molding. I have a renovated older house that has maintained the classic hanging molding, which I love. However, many hardware stores don’t carry these hooks anymore…but Amazon does. I use them all over my house to hang a variety of different artwork and they work perfectly!
