Designed for vehicle-specific fit, it offers low airflow restriction to enhance engine efficiency. Easy to install and maintain, this premium replacement part is trusted globally for reliable performance. ## Description Wix Air Filters are designed to remove soot, carbon, abrasives and contaminants from the air before mixing with the fuel. They are made of pleated paper and placed inside a plastic box which is connected to the throttle body. These filters are highly durable and installed easily. Review: Exact fit - This aftermarket filter was an exact fit for my John Deere 1025R. Review: Reliable heavy-duty air filter for diesel mower with some trade-offs - I installed the WIX 46438 Heavy Duty air filter on my diesel mower and found it performed well under tough conditions. The build quality is excellent: the sealing gasket seated tightly, and the filter media felt robust and premium. It held up through dusty cuts without any visible collapse and maintained consistent airflow on my gauge. Since this mower sees long hours in rough pasture conditions, the “heavy duty” tag makes sense — this filter offers more durability and protection than standard filters. However, it comes with a couple of caveats. If you’re only doing light mowing, the benefit may be modest compared to a standard filter. Also, because the media is denser, there’s a slight delay in throttle response until things warm up, which is noticeable in a high-rpm mowing deck. Bottom line: For a diesel mower operating in demanding conditions—long hours, dusty fields, stop-and-go cutting—this WIX 46438 is a solid choice. For lighter use, you’ll still get quality but maybe not the full heavy-duty value. ## Features - Low air flow restriction - Includes a pleated paper filter - Provides a mesh support screening - Easy installation and maintenance - International products have separate terms, are sold from abroad and may differ from local products, including fit, age ratings, and language of product, labeling or instructions. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B000CSEW72 | | Automotive Fit Type | Vehicle Specific Fit | | Brand | Wix | | Brand Name | Wix | | Customer Reviews | 4.8 out of 5 stars 462 Reviews | | Fit Type | Vehicle Specific Fit | | Fit type | Vehicle Specific Fit | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00765809464384 | | Item Dimensions L x W x H | 12.2L x 12.2W x 28.4H centimetres | | Item Weight | 12.6 Ounces | | Manufacturer | Wix | | Manufacturer Part Number | 46438 | | Model Number | 46438 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Number of items | 1 | | OEM Equivalent Part Number | 46438 | | OEM part number | 46438 | | Product Grade | Replacement Part | | Product dimensions | 12.2L x 12.2W x 28.4H centimetres | | Product grade | Replacement Part | | UPC | 765809464384 | | Unit Count | 1.0 count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Wix - **Fit type:** Vehicle Specific Fit - **OEM part number:** 46438 - **Product dimensions:** 12.2L x 12.2W x 28.4H centimetres - **Product grade:** Replacement Part ## Images ![WIX Filters - 46438 Heavy Duty Radial Seal Car Outer Air Filter, Pack of 1 - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71ArCMjs4mL.jpg) ![WIX Filters - 46438 Heavy Duty Radial Seal Car Outer Air Filter, Pack of 1 - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71aockPmY7L.jpg) ![WIX Filters - 46438 Heavy Duty Radial Seal Car Outer Air Filter, Pack of 1 - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61FvUBBG24L.jpg) ![WIX Filters - 46438 Heavy Duty Radial Seal Car Outer Air Filter, Pack of 1 - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61ZmvN7PqML.jpg) ![WIX Filters - 46438 Heavy Duty Radial Seal Car Outer Air Filter, Pack of 1 - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61ZZ2AhVlFL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Will this fit kubota m8540?** A: It fits mine just fine. **Q: Will this fit a L4701** A: If the tractor that you described has the same engine as the 3901 hydrostatic, there is a good chance that it will.
