Can this unit be mounted inside a sealed lighting fixture? It will only be providing 3 amps.....will it overheat at that load in a sealed chamber?

It is too large and not designed to be installed inside a fixture. For that and for only 3A there are small power supplies that will never get hot and are also much cheaper than this one.

Can one or more be paralleled to increase output current?

If you diode isolate the outputs and match voltages with a multimeter, you can parallel. Keep in mind there will a voltage drop across the diodes and they need to handle the full load amperage.

Does fan always run, or only under heavy loads?

The fan doesn’t run when plugged in and I presume only comes on when the internal temperature reaches a preset value.

Does this power supply need a minimum load?

I have a 500ohm resistor on it so it will always have a load on it just to be safe. Well when I tested it I just had my meter on the output voltage. It comes with a output voltage reading on the case so u can adjust ur output. Hope that I helped u.
