I put a pretty good heat on it and it kind of scorched the top of the sand a little bit but I think that's normal otherwise it took the mold well the pewter did good in it until it cooled yeah I'm happy with the purchase. It's easy to use and seems to be a better price than some others I looked at

Some of the things I try to mold take several attempts as the sand sticks to itself a little too well and sometimes chunks get pulled by the removal of the form
