This 'nest' is thick and warm. Lined with imitation sheepskin. Not sheer at all. Slightly stretchy, but not so stretchy that it collapses when they stand on or in it.

Test for 3 weeks, then use free return if pets don't use it.
The opening is too small and flimsy for birds to get in without feeling trapped. I think it would work well for smal rodents though.However, with free returns its worht a shot to test it with your bird for a couple weeks, then return it if they don't use it.

It is very easy for your feather friend to pick out the fabric and digest it or for it to get stuck in their little beaks.
