These were a replacement for the manufacturers clips to hold glass shelves in a medicine cabinet. The ones that came with it barely held the glass (shelves were short) and one was missing. These are longer, sturdier and the cushion wrap prevents slipping. A win all around.

These glass shelf support pegs are ideal, well made and solid support. I bought them for my kitchen cabinet shelves.I've had the plastic pegs for decades. I bought plastic ones because that's what came with the Kraftmaid cabinets. I always thought plastic pegs is a stupid idea. Kitchen cabinets shelves support a lot of weight. My Corelle dishes are very heavy. I opened a cabinet and suddenly, a shelf fell on me with Corelle bakewear hitting me, crashing and damaging the counter and exploding across the floor. In the dark of the night, I thought I had an intruder when I heard dishes rattle. Another shelf fell.That's it! I bought these shelf pegs, no more plastic. After the first 50 count arrived, I tried one in the cabinet. The 5mm is just the right size for the factory drilled cabinet holes. The cushions appealed to me for various reasons. If there's any play, the cushions will prevent the noise of a rocky shelf. I also like not having a wooden shelf resting on a metal leg, seems like less wearing in the wood. I know that's not a probable concern, but it appeals to me.When my daughter comes to visit, we're going to replace all the pegs. I need 110 pegs and I'll only have 100 when the second order arrives. That's okay, I can work with it.The size is just right, wide enough, for the shelves. I'll use a rubber mallet to hammer the pegs in as needed. I think it will be better to install the pegs, then put the sleeves on, to prevent damage to the sleeves.Good choice, fair price, quick delivery.

These are of very high quality!I used them in MDF and they worked well!!

My shelving uses custom pegs. There is a hole in the side of the book shelf and then another hole underneath the shelf. So the pegs have two prongs. They cannot be had after market and I was worried I would not find a good solution.These Desunia 5mm pegs are perfect. They fit snugly into the wall hole of the bookshelf and have a nice sized 'plate' for the shelf to rest on, with a slip free grip. Works great.

My order of Desunia 5mm support pegs proved invaluable - but not quite for the expected reason. Despite the ingenious pdf provided by the sellers to help with ordering correct sizes, my italian lacquer cabinets proved too difficult for an easy solution: the peg-holes were not uniform in either depth or diameter and so the excellent-quality support pegs which arrived could not possibly solve the entire problem, nor did I have the time (before the set up of shelves became a necessity) to figure out what size pegs a second order should be. However the rubbery cushioning-pads on each Desunia peg - brilliant innovations - would clearly be invaluable to secure and stabilize the irreplaceable heavy glass etched-shelves to be installed: no glass- shift, no glass-metal vibration and no scratching. So I raced to my local mega hardware-depot, purchased ¼" lesser-quality pegs, and slipped onto each a rubbery pad from my Amazon order. It was a highly-successful save, and I am grateful for the caliber of the Desunia pegs and their cushioning pads which I was able to "borrow" - made it possible to save the day! Had I the time, I would have consulted with Mike Dugan, the Desunia seller, who reached out to me, post order-arrival to insure that his customers are pleased with their order. Incredible! So I urge other amazon peg-seekers to go with one of the many sizes of support-pegs Desunia offers on Amazon. Their Customer Support and assistance are both gracious and quite extraordinary. One way or another you can't go wrong!

I wanted to add some clarification for this product, since reading some of the other reviews for it led me down the wrong path (I ordered 1/4" because I outsmarted myself using the review feedback). What I received was labeled as 5mm Shelf Supports and what was inside were 5mm shelf supports.They weren't undersized - the 'peg' is 5mm in diameter (5.0+/-.01 from my sampling of several pieces with digital caliper). The bookshelf we wanted to use them with was missing some pegs after a move, but the originals also measure 5mm in diameter. This product fit the peg holes perfectly, and with the same snugness as the originals.I first bought the 1/4" pegs because of the number of comments claiming these were "undersize". I can't speak for whether those people had larger holes or perhaps received a different product. If 5mm is what you need, don't "size up" to 1/4" - order these the 1/4" are too large for 5mm clearance holes. Also, if it helps, the bookshelf we have is a very high quality Aspenhome piece, and the dimension on the clearance holes was approximately 5.1-5.2, but my accuracy was not as high (really needed a pin gage).I should also say these were of exceptional quality and look exactly like the picture. They are crafted and finished magnificently and the vinyl sleeve is of good quality and appropriately snug fit and trimmed to a very clean finish.

The wrong size. That may have been my fault. Attractive and high quality product.
