Audio Extractor
This is a great option if you want to connect items seemingly via a soundbar which it will allow you to split the audio from the HDMI signal and send it to either a soundbar or speakers, I use it in conjunction with my projector and it does a amazing job and there is no latency in the audio as well, it very practical in size easy to set up great value for money it’s a must have, pubs and clubs use them as well with their big screen and audio setup as well

Hdmi audio/visual splitter box
Did the job! I wanted to split the hdmi audio going to a projector from a Google stick ,so the audio would go directly to an amplifier.I used the rca outputs on the hdmi splitter box ,rather than the spdf output. I had to change the audio settings to manual on the Google stick to get the sound to amp working , but then it all worked great!

Wrong USB cable and flashing red light
After seeing positive reviews, I bought one.I understand A/V and HiFi kit very well and what could be simpler than a charge cable in + HDMI In and HDMI Out + Audio Out? Was really confused for some time when I received the device and a standard USB cable, yet the device only accepts round pin to power it. So a device that takes 5v via USB, but you need a non-USB (round) connector to provide it power? Go figure.I put it in the drawer for some time till I got hold of a 5 volt round pin power supply with the correct diameter tip. The supply works with another very similar device (an HDMI Splitter from what appears to be same manufacturer, albeit probably one of dozens of rebrands from the same factory). However, with this one, I plug in the cable connected to a 5v supply and all I get is a barely visible pale light flashing on and off every few seconds. No output HDMI or audio signal. So in summary, received the device with the wrong power cable. By the time I decided to figure out the problem, the return window expired and the device seems dead on arrival anyway! Maybe a good device when manufactured and packaged correctly, but the lack of quality control makes this a worthless piece of junk that will go out with the garbage.

Looked good but didn’t do what I needed
It may be a good product but it didn’t work for me. I was trying to use to make my Bose Cinemate compatible with my new Smart Tv and it didn’t work so have had to return.

Perfect to split 5.1 audio from laptop output
This product is amazing! After trying several alterative and considerably more expensive options - which didn't work - this unit delivered flawless performance and synchronisation at a fantastic price point so I would highly recommend. If you require 5.1 Dolby audio from a laptop (which in general don't have the required outputs), this is probably the easiest and cheapest solution. Obvious in and out on the HDMI line and then use an optical cable to connect your preferred decoder / amplifier, it even has a stereo mixdown additional output so it literally does everything. Installed mine in a 4k home cinema with Sony projector and Denon surround sound unit - it’s literally better than going to my local Odeon!

Power supply missing
Power supply missing, so could not use, DisappointedUpdate:After having a play around, found the unit runs with No power supply connected, Guess its drawing power from my HDMI Splitter I use to get Video to my TV & Projector.BUT Video quality via this unit has dropped to HD so loosing UHD video output.Anyway have increase my rating to 3 Stars as Audio quality in Stereo is good.

Works well
Bought to extract a sound signal from an HDMI cable heading to a projector. The extracted sound signal was then fed into a PA system. This solution replaced a long phono-cable that was picking up too much mains hum. The audio extractor worked straight out of the box, giving us a clean, clear, undistorted audio signal that could by amplified. The unit appears to be well made with a solid metal case and it runs cool.

It’s just amazing tbh work like a charm
I’m not expert on sound but I wanted something which could extract the audio to play on my soundbar from tv or projector and my tv not new one which had earc after trying so many product this is the one worked in one go it’s reasonable my soundbar connected now with optical but at least I’m getting surround sound 5.1 very easy for me to install quality seems good I’m not using 4k pic so won’t go that side. Well recommended mainly for the price you can’t go wrong.
