I am very happy with this purchase! I move often and this item is light and easy to use. Love that the lid is very secure and latches on well. The rice cooks really well and very quick! Definitely depending on the microwave, the time it take to cook will defer. I made 1 cup of brown rice and it took me ~ 15mins.

I sold my Instant Pot because the only thing I ever used it for was rice, and it never made rice the way I wanted. After saving this Sistema Microwave Rice Cooker for a while, I finally bought it, and I’m so glad I did. This inexpensive little cooker makes better rice than my Instant Pot ever did. I made basmati rice and it turned out perfectly cooked, fluffy, and not mushy. Based on my experience, this cooker is ideal for one to two people. Overfilling it is likely what causes the spillover issues mentioned in some reviews. Here’s the method that worked great for me and I think will give you a good starting point: I rinsed 1/2 cup of basmati rice, added it to the cooker with 1 cup plus 1 tablespoon of water, a dash of salt, and a small amount of olive oil. I placed the lid on, making sure the steam vents were not aligned, microwaved for 7 minutes in a 900-watt microwave, let it rest for 5 minutes, then microwaved for another 3 minutes and let it sit again for 5 minutes. The result was perfect rice. Cleaning was a breeze. The product says it’s dishwasher safe on the top rack, but I hand washed it and it cleaned up very easily. The smaller container that comes with this set is also very useful. I stored my leftover rice in it in the fridge and reheated it later with great results. It seals well and works perfectly for storage, making it a nice bonus alongside the rice cooker, which is definitely the star of the set. Overall, this has been one of my best small kitchen purchases and I’m very happy with it.

This set cooks rice well, and the extra container is useful. It's also easy to clean. The only problem is that it makes the inside of my microwave very steamy and wet, so I have to wipe it down often. Still, it's a great product. I've found it to be a real time-saver on busy nights and it's much more convenient than using a pot on the stove. Despite the minor cleaning issue, I'd still recommend it for anyone who wants an easy way to cook.

I like this. It is very handy. When I want to make the Indonesian Lontong (I would add more water and mash the rice, then buy banana leaves, cleaned and heat the leaves to soften them, and wrapped the rice in the leaves and put them back in the microwave, or if no banana leaves available, just wrap smash the rice and wrap in double foil tightly, and steam or boil them (DO NOT USE your microwave) for 30 minutes and you have lontong. I use the Bamboo spice package (Lodeh) also available from Amazon with chayote from an Asian or Latino store, that is readily available, and add a little "sambal oelek" and I will have a nice Indonesian dish. Chayote is available from Amazon, but expensive. I sometimes just use string beans instead of chayote if I cannot entice anyone to drive me to a grocery store.

This set is incredibly convenient and easy to use. The microwave rice cooker makes fluffy rice with very little effort—just add rice, water, and microwave. It cooks evenly and much faster than a traditional pot. The lids with steam-release vents work well and help prevent spills.The additional round food container is great for reheating leftovers or storing meals. Both pieces are BPA-free, sturdy, and easy to clean. The handles stay cool enough to remove from the microwave without needing extra tools. Overall, this is a super practical set for quick meals, meal prep, and everyday cooking.

I've had this for a while now. I just realized I've never done a review for it. I feel like I need to do a review for it because this is one of the best kitchen tools I have ever purchased. It is amazing. I exclusively use it for instant rice. I know you can use it for other things, but I was looking for something I could easily make instant rice in because the awesome container I had been using for years cracked and was spilling water all over the microwave. I kept trying other options, but the same thing happened: water all over the place, rice all over the place. It was such a hassle cleaning up. I am disabled and need fast cooking options, so instant rice is always a go-to. I was desperately searching for something that would work. I found this and decided to try it. It's wonderful. It has this spill protection so no water all over the place. It keeps the rice hot for a bit, so I can put that in the microwave first and then microwave other things after without it losing much heat. Remember when I told you I've had it for years? I use it constantly, and it looks brand new. It is worth every penny. Two thumbs way up. Would buy again, but I probably won't because I doubt this will ever break. That's how solid it is.

I've tried all kinds of ways to cook rice over the years, and this is hands down the best microwave rice cooker I've ever used. The rice comes out perfect every single time...fluffy, evenly cooked, and never mushy or dried out. No more watching a pot on the stove or dragging out a bulky rice cooker. Just add your rice and water, pop it in the microwave, and you're done. The quality is outstanding. It's sturdy, easy to clean, and the steam vent works exactly as it should. I also love that it comes with the extra round container...it's perfect for storing leftovers or reheating meals. As someone who was skeptical that a microwave rice cooker could actually work this well, I'm honestly blown away. It's become one of the most used items in my rv. If you're on the fence, stop thinking about it and buy it. This thing is an absolute game changer and easily deserves 5 stars. I would recommend it to anyone who eats rice regularly. Best damn microwave rice cooker ever.
