Easy to assemble - hours of fun
I was super impressed with this gingerbread house. I bought it for a 3 and 7 year old. Based on other reviews I added duct tape to the corners during assembly (otherwise it was quick and easy to put together - popped up in about 10 to 15 minutes.) It held their attention all weekend. It stood up to normal rough play from the 3 year old and they both colored for short periods several times. It was tall enough for the 7 year old to stand up inside and with all of the windows and 2 doors was perfect for a variety of games (pretended it was a drive through cookie store, elf base, etc.) I was wildly impressed with the design and quality.

Santa's Helper
This was a GREAT BUY. Assembled and had it waiting to be discovered on the first day of vacation, after school. Essentially a giant craft project, it provided hours (weeks) of creative fun, playtime and a wonderful "distraction" while the elves and Santa hustled to pull off the yearly Christmas miracle. My then 9 YO loved having her own "Christmas Hideaway" to decorate both inside and out (complete with mini tree!), to fill with her toys & stuffies, play in, watch movies & play games on her iPad, wrap her own secret "gifts," etc. (The dogs also adopted and escaped into it. Lol.) Santa even hid gifts inside and put tiny presents beneath her tree! A huge hit. She was so attached to it, we had to secretly break it down and recycle it in March (dilapidated at that point, can't be re-used unless your child is a Zen master/saint), much to her dismay. Hack: reinforce seams/edges/connector flaps with clear Gorilla tape, for added durability. Now it's late November and she keeps asking: "When does my Gingerbread house arrive?" This Santa's Helper Hideaway (read = extra time for you, mom) is worth every penny.

So fun!
We have had so much fun decorating and playing with our Gingerbread house! It went together pretty easily and seems sturdy enough. My tall 5 year old can stand up in the middle. The front door works best on hard wood floors. The bankers box variety is quite a bit bigger than the other brands and worth the money. I also used the box it came in to make a fireplace!

Packaging not discreet
Super cute and nice size! But... the picture of it is huge right on the front of the box. I was hoping to surprise the kids with it for Christmas but they saw it immediately. So be careful if ordering as a gift.

Very Impressed!
I got this when they were less than $10, so didn't really pay attention to size or reviews because it was cheap.8 and 11 yr. olds found it and put it together.Much bigger and sturdier than I thought it would be! I would even pay the $30 plus price is it now. Well worth it!

Christmas magic
My kids were so thrilled!! They've spent hours playing and coloring! They kept saying they "can't believe you got us this house!" Haha it's well designed and holds up so far. My kids love that the windows open! Very fun experience for the holiday season.

Reinforce the bottom with the box it is shipped in.
The media could not be loaded. I had two toddlers jumping around me while assembling this gem. It is simple to put together as it comes in two pieces. I felt that my kids would probably tip it over and rip the doors off at the rate they were going. I broke down the box it came in, trimmed it to width then folded the ends up. Then use packing tape hole it together. Reinforce the doors and it seems like it will last so much longer.

Amazing fun for all.
Awesome for the kids during the holidays and parents can get involved too. Huge size so going to need plenty of markers.

Big, easy to assemble, lots of fun
This is a perfect size for my almost 4 year old. Room for a couple of kids, or for her to lay down in. The box is pretty sturdy (although we might tape it so it doesn’t fall apart when moved). Lots of fun stuff to colour. Although hot tip - packaging shows what is inside! Nearly a disaster for keeping secrets!

Not as good as previous purchase of a Bankers Box playhouse
Unlike another Bankers Box "playhouse to color" we bought previously, this one was brown cardboard on the inside. This makes it dark inside, and also not good for creative drawing and colouring to decorate inside the playhouse. So less than half the play value if it was white inside also, like previous versions.Fire the bean counter who cut 10 cents of cost on a $66 item, but cut the quality by half.
