Must have if you need a wallet or might be a gift
Best wallet you can get. Inexpensive, durable, the strap you pull is really easy to use, it can carry all the cards you’ll need. Highly recommended. I’ve been using it for a while now, the design is genius.

1.5 Year Review: Best Wallet
I've had this wallet for a little over one and a half years now, and I can say confidently that it's the best wallet I've owned. The main reason it's the best is because of two things: size and usability. When I was looking for a wallet, I valued something small most of all. I wanted something that could fit easily in one of my front pocket so I wouldn't have to deal with the discomfort of sitting on a wallet in my back pocket anymore. For this factor, I don't think a wallet can get any smaller. This wallet is about as small as a wallet possibly could be. It's the only wallet I've ever been able to forget I was carrying; it just vanishes in my pocket. For a wallet so small, it's surprisingly usable. The quick access card strap works really well, and it's satisfying to use every time I have to retrieve a card. The other card slot is certainly harder to access, but it expands wide enough for my needs and it holds my cards securely. In general, I only have to deal with the less convenient card pocket about once a week, so it's no big deal. The cash/misc pocket can be a little difficult to deal with, but it is functional and it allows me to keep a couple of 20's with me just in case. Again, this is not a big deal to me as I don't use cash all that often. As with the normal card pocket, it holds things very securely. After a year and a half, I can say that it has held up well. I don't really see any wear on it other than it's a little grungier looking than when I bought it. I could probably get it looking close brand new if I spent a little time cleaning it. I can't say for sure how long it will last, but given that it hasn't degraded in the time I've owned it, and that it has a very simple design, I'd say it will probably last quite a bit longer. Overall, this wallet is a winner. It has a great size, great usability, and it's affordable. It's not made out aircraft grade titanium or w/e fancy materials some other clips are made out, it's just made of simple materials that do the job, no more no less. This wallet has ended my search for the perfect wallet, and it might just end your search too. 4 year update: it's still in perfect functional conditon, and it still looks pretty darn good.

A great wallet
I had my first one of these for about 4 years. It served its purpose well, but I still crammed too many cards into it. I really only use about 6 cards (incl drivers license) but I probably put about twice that many into the wallet. About 6 months ago, I decided that I wanted it to be slimmer and I tried to take a number of the cards out. At that point, the elastic was too stretched out and I couldn't downsize without having the wallet too loose. I never used the cash pocket as I liked to have my cash in one pocket and my cards in the other. About a week ago, I decided to start using the cash pocket as well and it's great. Over the four year period, I've come to rely far less on cash and as a result, the tiny pocket now accommodates my cash needs. In order to achieve my goal of a much slimmer wallet, I ordered a new wallet and it just came. I just loaded it up with my fewer cards and smaller cash stash and I forgot how tight it was when new. The bottom line is this: the wallet lasted about 4 years. It was very serviceable during that period and now that I have a new model, it's even better. I think that 4 years is an acceptable lifespan for this type of product and I was happy to buy the product again. I saw that there is a competing product that is nearly the same, without the cash pocket. That other product is cheaper, but I decided to buy this one again for two reasons: 1) I like that this company started on kickstarter and that they created the form factor. I want to support them and not some other company that simply copied their design 2) I like the cash pocket... it's a feature that I had forgotten about and just started to use with great utility. Sidenote: I'd like to buy the travel bag from NOMATIC as well but it just doesn't look stylish to me. Furthermore, the straps and doodads just seem optically chaotic to me. If anyone from the company reads these reviews, I have a suggestion: consider a more visually appealing model that possesses just the critical technical features. I would definitely buy one and I haven't found such a product anywhere on the web. In my research, I've seen duffels that look striking but lack key utility features such as full top opening, thoughtfully organized pockets/compartments and the option to wear as a backpack for easy navigation through the hustle and bustle. Just my two cents!

Favorite wallet I’ve ever had, seriously
I’ve purchased this multiple times. My favorite wallet I’ve ever had! It’s so slim but doesn’t stretch out like other elastic wallets. It’s super easy to get your cards in and out. Very high quality

Great idea. Execution is solid but just shy of perfect.
This is a unique product, so this is a long review. TLDR: go watch the marketing videos to see if the idea works. If you like the way it works, the engineering, quality, and construction is enough to make it work. I almost never lose my keys or wallet. However somehow I managed to lose my wallet at a restaurant while wrangling kids and take-out boxes. No one ever used my credit cards, but my wallet never showed up. I took this as a sign to change things up. I've been against thick "Costanza" wallets since I first started carrying a wallet, so the transition to this wasn't huge for me in terms of stuff in my wallet. What is different is keeping it in my front pocket with my phone instead of the back, and the way the wallet works. If you are considering this, do yourself a favor and go see the youtube videos they made. It makes little sense when looking at pictures, or even with the wallet in your hand. With a video it is immediately clear how it works. Let's get some downsides out of the way first: - biggest issue is cash. I like to keep a little cash in my pocket for emergencies, vending machines, splitting lunch, or if my kid wants something out of a machine. You can easily and smoothly keep some bills in this wallet. In fact the elastic works well enough to keep probably something like 10 bills without being awkward. But the problem is anytime you get bills in or out, you have to fold them up just right. I use cash less and less anyway, but it is annoying when I do. - Business cards get messed up. Not a big deal, but if you get any business cards, they will stick out past the plastic credit-card sized cards, and get mashed. This happens some in traditional wallets, but worse in this. - Cash makes your "one-card" hard to get out. One of the great things about this wallet is your primary card should just be a thumb flick away, as shown in the videos. In practice this doesn't work very well if you have any US sized bills in the pocket. Possible downside, remains to be seen: The leather tab for pulling out the cards could maybe be thicker, or have something to keep it from sinking in place. It already dips down into the slot, and seems like with time it might slip down. So on to the benefits: - Smaller, thinner for front pocket use - Materials are soft enough to keep in pocket with my phone - It is actually thinner and more manageable to keep more cards in this wallet than it was with a traditional bifold. That is really nice. I actually can keep more cards that aren't often used if wanted. In fact, the wallet doesn't even really work without at least 6 cards. - Getting to your cards is much easier than it is in a traditional wallet, especially your primary 2 - So far (about a month in) the elastic works very well. It can expand a little to hold extra cards or cash without loosing its hold when you go back down to a smaller number. This is crucial for the design and works well. It seems like my list of downsides is bigger, but most are minor quibbles or required explanation. The end result is I'm very happy with the product.

This one was by far my favorite. I tried the others thinking this one would ...
Lives up to the hype. I decided to minimize my wallet so I tried this and a few others (Herschel Charlie?). This one was by far my favorite. I tried the others thinking this one would fall short. To my surprise this one came out on top! The others struggled to hold my 9 necessary cards, with 6 bills on top. The Basics wallet held them easily, very surprisingly, and very comfortably. All of what used to be a huge wallet is now tiny stack of cards that almost disappears in my back pocket. It works as I back or front pocket wallet. The primary card is slightly harder to get to than the video would suggest if you have cash in front of it. Cash covers a good percentage of the primary card, but it's still not all that difficult to get out. The pull-tab function really does what is promised and lets you get to the rest of your cards pretty easily. I do expect it to stretch with use so I ordered a second one to use travelling where I'm only carrying a few of the cards I need abroad. Basicaly (no pun intended), I love it. This is my primary wallet now, and I'm ordering another to be my primary wallet while traveling. It works with a few cards or a lot. It works for a back pocket wallet or a front pocket wallet. It's comfortable, cheap, and the best wallet I've ever owned. UPDATE 05/2022, FIVE YEARS LATER: I've been carrying this wallet daily for almost five years and it's been a great wallet. It's only just now beginning to show some wear. Some of the stitching on the pull strap is starting to fray, but not in any way that has inhibited function. The only downside to this wallet is cash. I only use cash once every few months and every time I had to with this wallet it was a pain. The elastic pocket is difficult to get the folded bills out of, and the bill are so compressed and creased so hard on the folds that they're difficult to handle when you're trying to count money out. On the occasions I needed cash it was a little bit of a chore. Other than cash, the wallet is amazing for cards and I don't know that it's possible to get much more minimalist while still being functional.

Small, Functional, and AirTag Compatibile
I thought I needed a slimmer wallet, so I tried several on the market. This one is my favorite, and I've been using it in my front pocket for eight months now. The wallet compartment that is meant to hold money and a key will also hold an AirTag beautifully, with only a small, smooth bump. One reviewer mentioned that the AirTag slips out when the cards are pulled up, but that might have been an earlier version. That compartment is made of stretch material. For me, the AirTag stays in, and I can't shake it out. I like it so much that I ordered a spare just in case.
