I've read on some sites that this is a sugar-free Rub (which would decrease chance of burning), is this product sugar-free?

Sugar carmelizes at around 290 degrees and starts to burn above 350. If you cook low and slow (225-250) the sugar won't burn.

It has a nice flavor, if you over do it, it can be spicy. You also omit salt

can you make an injection marinade with Byron’s Butt Rub?

I never have ,but if you use the right amount of oil and butter, I don't see why not!

has anyone used this on turkey?

I’ve used this on turkeys legs, and it was great. It’s a tiny bit spicy for some family, but great for most. It has great flavor and just the right amount of salt.
