PCDJ KARAOKI Software

This product was very easy to install and so far like the product. You have to buy Karaoke songs from certain sites I was unable to upload the hundred of Karaoke CD's that I already have. I bought the product to make it easier when family is at the house. So if anyone knows software that allows me to upload already purchased songs. Please fill free to respond, would make it easier looking for songs :-).

I thought I would be able to use songs already in the software, but you have to pay for EACH SONG $1.49 or more. This cost me $100, but not usable. I am VERY DISAPPOINTED and would not recommend this to anyone. Try a different product. Make sure it comes with songs so it can be tried.

I bought this program over a year ago. Basically set it up, tried it out at one show and never again. It was awful. It was always freezing and giving me error messages. When Karaoke Cloud came out I wanted to try it and since I had already paid for Karaoki I thought I would give it another try hoping they had all the bugs fixed. Had just bought two brand new computers and installed and set up and bought karaoke cloud pro subscription. Same thing- You cannot run a show using this program without looking like a fool. Constantly getting error messages "file already loaded". And then nothing would play. Tried TONS of songs and different ways of doing it and tons of bugs/problems. Bought Karaoke Cloud straight from Digitrax not knowing it was actually a contract WITH PCDJ. You can imagine my frustration now! Paid for a program that is crap and now pay $100 a month for a subscription I cannot use tied to the crappest program! Sure I could suck it up and try to use it, working around the bugs. Ive already spend hours upon hours reading their support forums and asking for help. No program should cause you this much frustration! Do NOT spend your hard earned money on this program!!!

I purchased this directly from the company's website during the fall of 2013. As with any karaoke software, it's pretty commonly known that you need to buy the music separately! I purchased some CD-Gs and got some You-Tube help on how to rip them to work on the the program. After some trial & error, I figured it out. The most critical part of it is making sure your files are named properly so that it will display in the program's library accurately. Good file management is also critical to make sure your music .mp3 files MATCH your lyric .cdg files, so they'll play TOGETHER! Having the enough RAM is also critical to make sure your computer can handle the multi-media. Lastly, my new laptop has HDMI output only, which is ideal for using karaoke software. Old school serial connections and may cause the system to lock up. HDMI allows me to use my DJ software and PCDJ Karaoke simultaneously. Only used it once on my old laptop (minus HDMI) - it was a frightening night, to say the least!

Been using PCDJ program for 3 months now and although I've got it to work at the club it keeps loosing its place with the external hard drive (keeps saying... "file corrupt or missing").I thought it was operator error or HD problem for the first 2 months but it's on 2 computer's and both reacted the same. Finally gave up and got "Just Karaoke" software for half the price. It searches & locates files much faster (3 sec vs. 30 sec.),file naming conventions are much easier and help support faster (hours vs. days) albeit both through email. I don't recommend KJDJ & feel like I wasted $100. Will use "Just Karaoke" this weekend at the club and hope there are no surprises.

I've read some of the previous comments and I'm a bit shocked. It does seem as though they are older, but my experience has been nothing but great with both Karaoki and the team at PCDJ. I've owned it for 2 years now, receive free updates all the time and it easily handles my library of about 100,000 titles. The new rotation options are much better than older releases, and basically handles the rotation for me. I haven't found another competitive product with as many features I need for anywhere near this price. All the KJs in my area are using Karaoki now.

Too tough to keep a rotation. All messed up. have to use a white board, which kind of defeats the purpose of upgrading to technology. doh! not recommended for clubs over 8 singers, that's for sure!
