If you want to say 9 3/8" to be on the safe side you should be good. **Q: Is there a longer neck I can buy for it?** A: No, there isn't. But a longer neck would be dangerous because the higher the neck, the less stable the jack base. You can increase its lift by putting the jack wheels on a board or a plank on the ground; for example, a 2" by 6" by 30" long board would give you almost 2 more inches in height as well as maintaining a stable base. This is not a heavy duty jack to begin with; it's small with a narrow and small footprint. More weight and a higher lift reveal its stability problems very quickly. The long neck can be removed. Solid and sturdy. *by R***L on December 21, 2025* This jack is solid, sturdy and strong. Seems like it will last a long time. I use it on an infiniti sedan and a benz suv. It lifts both with no real issue. Sometimes...it may just be my eyes...it seems like the jack will tilt up, but it never has and just slides along as it lifts. The only real issue is the swivel wheels are stiff and don't swing around as they should to roll properly as the jack lifts. Two smaller issues is the jack should really come with something to attach the bar to the jack for storage and carrying, and that yellow handle pictured on the jack does not actually come with the jack.
