Very sharp works great and no issues. One of the few products I have gotten that actually doesn't rust.

I ordered this for my husband to use when cutting down our perennial plants/bushes in the fall. He grew up using machetes for that kind of gardening, and insisted on replacing the one we had after it was mistakenly thrown out. He hates shopping, even online, so the task fell to me. At first, he was not too pleased with the length of this blade, and thought it wouldn’t be good for much, but I told him it had great reviews and asked him to give it a try. Well, he ended up eating those words! The blade length may be short (it’s about 12”), but boy is it sharp! It got the job done, even on our thick shrubs, and he was very happy with the ease he had in cutting everything down. He said it felt really sturdy in hand, and has a nice weight to it. He later admitted that he was pretty happy with it, so it’s a keeper.

I just got it and tried it on my honeysuckle plants which is what I mostly use these on. It worked well because the blade is a heavy type metal not like the cheap thinner and lighter ones in "wildlife" stores that bend and get indentations. The saw part is very sharp too. I took out a small wild pine tree growing up in my fence. Also cut this 2" vine with about 5 whacks. 2 things I didn't like. 1. The color was a dark red not a bright orange shown in the pictures. Brightness matters because when you drop them in the brush from time to time the brighter colors make it easier to find. 2. The small hook on handle that goes by the pinky finger tends to bump the small finger when you hit something hard because it forces a pivot back into your hand and that little hook on the handle bangs the little finger. I will try this more and if its a problem I might grind it off. I like it overall though for size , weight, and sharpness.

Just using to clear some blackberry brush around the property so far. Certainly effective for that. Very sharp out of the box. A little heavier than I expected, but I suspect that weight would be helpful for some tougher/thicker brush. I think it will do well as an addition to my hunting and camping gear too. Only thing I would have liked to see was a wrist strap. No big deal at all tho…there’s a hole already in the handle to add one with a little rope. Decent sheath that will allow for belt/hip carry. Saw teeth are super sharp out of the package. While the form fitted handle is good/comfortable for swinging and bushwhacking, not so much if I ever have to flip it & use the saw side of the blade. Nitpicking there tho. Overall: versatile & it’ll get the job done. Good product and value for the money.

Awesome. I chop down bamboo and it does great. The saw works really well and I've actually cut myself accidentally a few times. Very sturdy. Would buy again.

I used this heavy-duty machete only once, and the quality was extremely disappointing. While cutting a few small tree branches, the blade encountered only moderate resistance and bent easily (see the photo). The steel is far too soft for a tool that's marketed as a heavy-duty machete. It feels like the wrong type of metal was used for this product. A machete should be able to handle basic cutting tasks without permanently bending after a single use. Unfortunately, I can't even return it. I would not recommend this product to anyone looking for a durable outdoor tool.

the blade easily gets damaged. I used it once on large grass areas, and the blade has dented from impact. I'm also worried about rust... I literally just got it and used it yesterday. We will see, I'll update my review as I continue to use
