I really like this product. I have more of the "translucent" type of tooth as opposed to the crisp white type of tooth. I have tried teeth whitening toothpastes and even tooth whitening products but didn't feel as though they worked. I heard about this product and read some of the reviews. After the first use I noticed a difference. My teeth felt smoother and cleaner and even looked a little brighter. I consider it an "exfoliation" of my teeth, similar to the difference in your skin when you exfoliate your face. I feel as though it removed the residual layer left by regular toothpaste and I'd go as far to say even some plague.I was concerned about the reviews that mentioned that they noticed their teeth were appearing a little browner after daily use, which would make sense considering the product is brown and teeth stain from coffee, etc. Therefore, I decided to only use the product once/twice a week for a thorough cleaning. For me, the flavor is strong but still tastes good, but everyone has their individual tastes. Kudos for the name...it's clever.

I LOVE THIS! I read the reviews before purchase and instead of dipping my brush into the little pot I get some on a ceramic spoon so only a little gets clumpy at once. PERFECT! It really does taste as lovely as people say. I don't feel like the cinnamon is overpowering at all and saltiness is negligible (something I worried about with baking soda). You only need a tiny bit and my teeth have never felt so clean (beyond that first 20 minutes after leaving the dentist's office.) I was surprised, after my research, how many unnecessary chemicals are in my organic pastes that I've been using for years. I've love the flavor and how clean my teeth are! I love that my teeth squeak while I'm brushing (they're that clean)! I love the absence of chemicals. I also love that at my seasoned age, I get a giggle when I spit and it looks like dirt. Clever name! Great product!My only feedback to The Dirt folks is that it's pricey for such a risk. I regret not buying the larger one but I didn't want to regret buying a large one and hating it. I can't be the only one and a "sample size"/one time use thing that I could have gotten for not too expensive, in a little packet that wouldn't cost you more than a postage stamp to mail would probably help those who agonize over whether to try this, and opted not to. Also, many of us who use your product have some sort of environmental consciousness and I ordered two and to have each container in its own bubble envelope, and both of those placed in another, larger bubble envelope seems really, unnecessarily wasteful. That was a poor first impression. Luckily your wonderful product made up for it.

I really dislike how sudsy (for lack of a better word) regular, grocery store brands feel in my mouth. I'd rinse and rinse to get rid of the taste and feel. When The Dirt came up as a Prime Day deal, I bought the 3-month (.7 oz) jar of Sweet Spice flavor to try.The verdict? I love how it makes my teeth and mouth feel. My teeth feel very smooth to the touch after brushing. I almost can't wait to brush my teeth.I also like that a little goes a long way. For the people who are going through the product quickly, I'd suggest that there's too much on the brush. Definitely tap off both the excess water and powder so the brush isn't overloaded. I also give my sink a good wash down, and sometimes a wipe, after use, but I do that with regular toothpaste, as well.I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 because there's no discernable change in the appearance of my teeth and I was really hoping for some whitening. (I do trade off brushing with Jason tea tree toothpaste, so I don't know if there'd be more of an effect if I used this exclusively, but I wouldn't imagine so.) If there hadn't been an expectation that my teeth would look whiter/brighter based on the product description, I'd have gone with 5 stars. As it is, I'm pleased enough that I'll probably buy the large size next.

Holy Moly this stuff is goooooooood!! Never ever again will I subject my poor mouth or teeth to the soapy grot that is passed off as conventional toothpaste. 5 days into using this and my tooth sensitivity has decreased, I wake up in the morning with semi decent breath instead of the toxic vapor from pre-dirt days. My teeth FEEL so clean and smooth - my gums also look less inflamed. Initially purchased because I was told SLS (Sodium Laurel Sulphate) the foaming additive in ALL conventional and most "herbal" toothpastes was what caused my mouth ulcers to take forever to heal - I had one when I started using The Dirt - IT IS GONE AFTER 3 DAYS. There is no adjustment period for using it, my first brush I thought would freak me out putting literal dirt into my mouth but the sweet orange and cardamum oils sweeten up as you brush and there is almost no gritty texture, this in turn made saliva increase and no need to spit rinse spit rinse... just brush brush brush and then rinse brush with clean water. The best part of all of this...? It doesn't make food taste weird after brushing your teeth... for me that means I can brush before breakfast and know my fruit salad and my cup of tea will taste like they should instead of offensive after conventional toothpaste. I could rage on some more I'm so impressed with this product but I wont.... if like me you've had issues with regular tooth pastes, or mouth ulcer issues, or even just OVER the in-your-face-advertising because every tube is better-that-the-others. Buy it, Try it, LOVE IT!
