Shock Doctor Mouth Guard for Braces, Blue, Adult

I think this is a very nice mouthguard! I recently got braces, and this mouthguard fit perfectly into my mouth without trouble. The quality is also very soft and easy to bite on. This mouthguard is perfect for braces, and my taekwondo class!

It works as described.

I got these for my kid who is playing hockey with braces and it works great for him until he chews it to pieces. Unfortunately it's not very durable against chewing so he got to eat a little bit of the silicone and we've had to swap it out for a new one after only 2 weeks. If they were more durable they'd be perfect, as it is they're just a bit over-priced considering how often I'm having to replace them.

Kid plays rugby , took a solid hit. Moderate concussion, teeth and braces no damage. Not bad.

I have purchased Shock Doctor mouthpieces in the past for my kids and have been very happy with the level of protection provided at a very reasonable price. There has been a lot of press around football and concussions lately, and while the data isn't definitive that mouthpieces can prevent concussions, no one seems to disagree with the fact that there is value in the extra protection they provide. It only takes a few dollars extra to get your child a quality mouthpiece. My oldest won played football in college and each year they would make a custom mouthpiece for each player. He looked at the Shock Doctor mouthpiece I bought for his younger brother last year and was very impressed with the quality of this off-the-shelf mouthpiece. Between last football season and this my second son had braces put on and needed a different mouthpiece for that application. He reports being happy with the mouthpiece through the first three games of the season. The durability seems to be excellent, but he isn't what I would consider hard on mouthpieces. If you are looking for a high quality mouthpiece for a player with braces at a great value then this mouthpiece is a good choice.

After ~3 weeks of use (2 times/week) the inner part of mouth guard split and peeled from center to back. First use of braces mouth guard, but he’s never done this to any other mouth guard before.

This mouth guard is very good, I recommend buying this even though it’s nit cheap for a mouthguard. It is very easy to pop in and out on the field, and it fits nicely, there is no molding required.
