- 3 & 4 thread overlock: adjusting the serger, chain stitching patchwork, making a wrapped corner, easing/gathering, adding cording and elastic, adding decorative edges
- Rolled hem: adjusting the serger, serging over finishing line to finish bridal or evening wear
- Flatlock: ladder and serpentine stitches, flatlocking over ribbon, adding lace to an edge
- Cover stitch: machine setup, making activewear straps, belt loops and trim
- Chain stitch: seaming, topstitching and decorative stitching.
