One can should fill in around a good amount of rocks if used as intended. I had a small leak in my koi pond waterfall (a rock worked loose) and this worked beautifully for that repair. **Q: Is is safe for my fish pond** A: Yes - very safe for fish ponds. I've used it on both our fish ponds for years and no issues. **Q: will it work on WET surface** A: I believe the surface should be dry and clear of dirt/grease/algae,etc. when it is applied. There was plenty of it to use for the job that I was doing with some left over to do a few other things. It wasn't messy at all since they've made it reusable. It sealed everything nicely. It didn't have an odor at all. As for the looks it won't matter in my application. It served its purpose for what it was intended for. It did fill the gaps nicely for my purposes. I couldn't find this in my home improvement store so I bought it along with the riser at the same time.
