Great chair, if somewhat overpriced
I have had this chair for about 6 months now. It does exactly what you want an astronomy chair to do: seat you comfortably and sturdily, and have the seat height be quickly adjustable. And for this, the chair gets top marks. It is overpriced for what it is, but as a niche market item, I suppose that's the price you pay. I do wish the seat folded up more compactly; it juts out so I end up just unscrewing/removing it every time I put it away for storage. This only takes a minute or so, but it's one more thing you have to deal with. Another reviewer complained that the seat was not adjustable. I think this was likely meant as a joke? They show the seat installed on the WRONG side of the chair in their photo. At any rate, if you are feeling flush, I'd buy one. It makes the stargazing process that much more enjoyable.

Height Adjustment Works Perfectly
I had tried to use a folding tripod stool to sit on while using my Celestron XLT 8 inch SCT telescope. But there were times when I need to be sitting a bit lower or higher than this stool could adjust for. I find this chair very easy to set up and move around, plus it gives me all of the height or "depth" that I need. I also bought a folding umbrella which attachedes to the frame of the chair so that when I do solar viewing I can block the sun from my head and face. Note, though, that while the seat cushion can be moved up and down, it can't be folded up. Of course, you can completely remove the cushion if you are going to put it in your car to go to a star party, but that extra step is a bit of a bother. It would be nice if the cushion could be folded up when being transported. The chair is very, very stable because of the splayed pattern of the legs. That was a very clever idea particularly if you happen to be on an unlevel surface. By the way, the cushion is very comfy to sit on for any lengths of time

This product is star quality
I researched the brand before I decided on it. I rely on what former buyers say and in the end it makes a difference. This product had the best reviews and even though a bit more money in the end it was worth it.

Useful, but a little expensive
This product helps with observing through a telescope whose eyepiece can be at very different heights above the ground, depending on where in the sky the telescope is pointed. The adjustable seat works well for just about any eyepiece height with a medium-sized telescope. However, the price of the chair is a little more than what I expected to pay. When I assembled the chair, one of the bolt holes in the bottom of the seat did not quite line up with the associated hole in the mounting bracket. As a result, I was not able to completely tighten the bolt that went through those holes by hand. The minor defect does not appear to affect the sturdiness of the chair, though.

Very comfortable, and easy to use.
This chair works exactly as I want for stargazing. It is pricey to say the least, but after many nights of sore butts and tired legs, this solves the problem.

Can’t Assemble Due to Bolts are too Short - Resolved
Update:Adorama contacted me in less than 24 hours with an offer to return the chair due to the short bolts to fasten the seat to the bracket. Instead I went to Home Depot and bought some 1” long bolts and it worked fine. Obviously this is not the fault of Adorama but the fault of the manufacturer Starbound but Adorama stepped up and I appreciated that. Customer service at Adorama is 5 STARS!Contacted Adorama for longer seat bolts. The bolts that attach the seat to the bracket are too short. It appears that the threaded inserts in the seat bottom were installed too deep requiring bolts longer than supplied. This is a preliminary review because I can’t assemble the chair. I will update it after hopefully hearing back from Adorama. Otherwise it looks like a sturdy observing chair. Adorama shipped the chair super fast arriving two days earlier than promised. The chair was packed very well.

Silly expensive but works well.
Easy to assemble. Fully adjustable seat height. Won't fold flat without partially disassembling. Haven't found a better option yet, but this is quite expensive for what amounts to an ironing board frame with a small cushion attached. Also, everything I order from Adorama arrives in a box that's been opened and not always with all the contents present. Double check your package when it arrives.

Falling apart within 6 months
So the biggest problem I've had with this chair is the screws that hold the base onto the chair are all constantly falling off. I've lost two so far so this chair is not making it out to the observatory many more times. $220 is ridiculous for this level of quality.
