Great motorized feature
The media could not be loaded. We have greatly enjoyed how this screen turns our humble living room into a fancy home theater. The motorized feature is easy to use and it feels luxurious to press a button to drop or raise the screen. Some specific notes:- The motor remote control: sleek and simple design with three intuitive buttons. The bottom button lowers the screen, the top button raises the screen, and the center button stops the screen at any desired height. Our space just happens to work well with the screen all of the way down, but it is easy to adjust the screen to the desired height using the remote. It is important to point the remote directly at the sensor (left side of screen housing) for it to work efficiently.- Screen: high quality and has remained clean and wrinkle-free for the past 5 months. It is important to hang the screen level to prevent wrinkling and strain on the motor.- Black screen housing: sleek and simple design and pretty easy to install. The kit comes with silver chain and brackets used to hang the screen. Our ceiling is vaulted and therefore not level so we had to do some finagling to make the screen housing exactly level, but were able to install it with not much difficulty.- Power cord: the cord is black and comes out of the left side of the screen housing. We wish the cord was longer and/or removable, which would make it easier to rout it along the wall and make it more subtle. In our case, since our ceiling is very high and we mounted the screen quite hight up, the cord was too short to reach the outlet without an extension cord. In order to hide the cord, we wrapped it up and used black tape to secure it to the back of the screen housing. We then used a more subtle white extension cord that matched our wall color to plug it in.Favorite features: we were skeptical how well the automatic motorized feature would perform before this product arrived, but were pleasantly surprised about the ease of use and functionality. The remote feature is dependable and effective. The overall design of the screen feels high-quality, simple, and visually appealing. We also love how we can efficiently utilize our limited space by using this screen instead of a TV, while having a much larger and better viewing experience than any TV could provide. Behind the screen we can hang art and musical instruments. We're even able to utilize "dead space" created by our apartment's built-in heating unit (don't worry, we don't blast the heat while using the screen!)What could be improved: Although the adjustable height feature is nice (again, we don't use that feature as the screen works best at its lowest setting in our space), it would be even better if you were able to SAVE a certain height setting that works best for your space, in effect not needing to stop the screen at the right height every time it's used. Although the remote works well and stops the screen movement with accuracy, I would find it tedious to adjust the screen to the projector image for each use. There's an entire foot of black space above the screen at full extension, and some may wish to only have the screen lowered to expose only the functional screen area.

Large stain on black border
I installed the screen with ceiling hooks and it operates fine. I use a Nebula portable projector and image quality was acceptable. However, the reason I gave a one star is that there is a large area on the black border that looks like oil stain, as shown in picture. Although it doesn’t affect picture quality, it is a quite obvious eye-sore when the screen is open in day light. The screen is so heavy and hard to repackage. I don’t know how to return or exchange it without going through hassle...

Great screen at an affordable price!
I've always been a fan of high quality screens from screen innovations and elite screens. This is my second Elite Screens i now own (first one is a flush mounted ceiling unit at 112" and sound transparent) and by far i have not a single complain hence this purchase/review. Anyone looking at a high quality, light weight and easy to operate electric screen, this is definetly the way to go. You will never be disappointed and is made to last for many years, my 112" one is almost a decade old and still looks and operates as if i just installed it today! Thanks Elite Screens for your dedication to perfection 😎

Great screen with a couple of minor control quirks
Building a theater room I knew I needed to get a motorized screen as kids and screens are a disaster waiting to happen. There wasn't many choices to pick when it comes to motorized screens. I took a look at all the reviews and found that most people were mostly satisfied with the Spectrum. I purchased the screen and the mounting brackets to make sure I had everything secured properly. Unfortunately for me when installing the brackets I was of an inch or so which has the screen screwed on sideways a bit.5/5 SCREEN: The screen material is really good and pairs well with my projector (Epson 6050ub) The colors appear vibrant and even with some light coming through from an adjacent window, I still have no problems seeing details.5/5 MOTOR: The motor is great it's not very loud (it actually sounds just like you would hear in a real theater) it doesn't take long (7 seconds) to the optimal position.3.5/5 CONTROLS: There are many options for controlling the screen 1) Wireless remote. There are two problems I've encountered with the remote. First none of the buttons are labeled and are just three circles. So when you first look at the remote you have to play around until you understand that the top button is for up the middle is for stop and the bottom button is for down. The second issue is that you have to aim the remote to the far left side of the screen otherwise it doesn't register. This is a bit annoying. As a side note the response time is a tad delayed when pressing the buttons. 2) Wired control panel. This plugs directly into the screen into a RJ45 connector which is found under the screen on the left hand side. The buttons for this were also not labeled but the shapes of the buttons made it more apparent what each one does (This is how I learned how to use the wireless remote). As others have mentioned the fact that you plug this into the bottom of the screen is an eye sore. 3) Trigger control for projector. This has two parts one part plugs directly into the screen via the RJ45 connector the other part you have to make yourself. You're given a half created cable which you will need to cut open an AUX cable to create. This then plugs into the back of your projector in the trigger slot. I haven't done this yet but I'm puzzled as to why Elite Screens couldn't have this made for us already.?4/5 INSTALLATION: Installation is not hard but if you're not quite precise with your measurement you may end up the way I did where the brackets are not 100% accurately aligned causing the screen to hang from the screws diagonally. It didn't cause any issues with viewing though. Another point of emphasis is that you will need at least one other person to help you install this if you choose to use the optional brackets from Elite Screens.4/5 DELIVERY: Elite Screens uses a freight company to handle the delivery. The problem that I had was that I wasn't aware that I needed to reach out to the freight company to schedule for delivery. This resulted in my screen sitting at the freight company for an extended period of time.5/5 PACKAGING: Elite Screens did a great job packaging the screen. It comes an a very long rectangular box which then has a smaller rectangular box. As a result the screen came in great condition.Overall I'm satisfied with my purchase.

Poor quality control
Bleed through strip the product is so big and time consuming to install you won't want to send it back. I expected more from this brand.I got the auto up and down with on off and it's great. This could be a great product with better quality control.
