I needed a hygrometer for a job to prove that the reason for all the ric were condensing and spilling out on to the floor was the amount of humidity in the store at that moment.. I don't ever buy cheap tools especially meters. I have Testo guage, probes, multimeter, thermal imaging camera, leak detector, micrometer guage, pyrometer, scale, manometer, and so forth that link to the Testo smart app so I can monitor everything right from my phone.. love it. But seeing as this is the first time I needed one in years I was not wanting to spend $500 bucks on a Testo that will just sit in the van.. after reading reviews and researching hygrometers I decided to give this a try and I'm glad I did. Works perfectly.. proved the dew point was causing the water on the floor and that the coolers were not leaking... professional meter at a toys-r-us price.. Review: Found the problem - I used this device to track down a wasp nest holding my bathroom fan damper open. Worked well, very pleased. ## Features - PT6508 psychrometer HVAC is a new type of digital temperature and humidity meter, which is designed to combine the functions of a humidity meter, temperature meter, wet bulb temperature, and dew point temperature. User's manual does not mention this possibility. **Q: Can this item be sent in for re-calibration periodically, and updated certificate?** A: All the items have been calibrated before sending out, and if you need to calibate again, then you can send it to us for re-calibration, but it will cost a lot of time and shipping fee **Q: ?Viene con el certificado de calibración?** A: Thank you for your question. If you need it you can contact our customer service and we will send you a calibration operation manual, which is recommended to be used under professional personnel and operating equipment. **Q: Has anyone who bought this unit tested it for accuracy?** A: That I do not know. what I can say is that the temperature it shows is close to what the weather people say the temp.s are. I bought it because the local weather people have decided to no longer give the dew points in the forecast. I do know that the higher the dew point reading the device shows the more humid it feels. I also had issue with deciding to just give a date on the map as to when the "Monsoon season" starts and stops. The method of a dew point higher than 55degrees 3 days in a row for the start and below 55 degrees 3 days in a row for the end makes more sense. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you want to save hundreds of dollars and want a reliable meter look right here *by S***8 on April 28, 2026* This thing is really a great tool for the price.. as a hvac-r technician having the right tools is crucial when diagnosing a problem especially in ac season. Worked well, very pleased. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ wish i had this sooner - outstanding for home use *by G***G on June 10, 2020* i used this tool to verify that i in fact would benefit from installing a very expensive Aprilaire 800 humidifier ( with the installation it was over 2 thousand dollars ) ... my worthelss Extech hygrometer ( the home model with big screen ) was telling me that all isn't so bad but my cracked skin was telling me otherwise ... this Protmex confirmed that my skin was telling me the truth and that humidity was abysmal - i went ahead with Aprilaire 800 installation and it was just game changing - no more sore throat, dry eyes, cracked skin etc ... one annoyance is it always starts in Celsius and you have to press the button to switch to F ... wish it remembered my preference. but it's overall well made, 10 times more accurate than Extech and 100 times faster. Extech ( the home model with big screen ) would take about half an hour to stabilize on a ( wrong ) reading when moved from room to room. This unit takes maybe 30 seconds to stabilize on a good reading. When moving from room to room the reading starts changing literally within a second or two of entering a different room ! ! ! It is SO sensitive ! For example if you walk into a bathroom after somebody took a shower there the numbers will start climbing the very moment you walk into that room ! And about 30 seconds later they will pretty much stabilize at a new reading unless the temperature is also different. It takes longer ( about 5 minutes ) when there is a difference in room temperature. all in all outstanding for home use. don't know if it's good enough for professional use. ## Frequently Bought Together - Protmex PT6508 Temperature Humidity Meter, Digital Thermometer Hygrometer Monitor with Ambient, Dew Point, Wet Bulb for Indoor/Outdoor MIN, MAX, Data Hold, LCD Backlight - General Tools MMD4E Digital Moisture Meter, Water Leak Detector, Moisture Tester, Pin Type, Backlit LCD Display With Audible and Visual High-Medium-Low Moisture Content Alerts, Grays - Klein Tools ET140 Pinless Moisture Meter for Non-Destructive Moisture Detection in Drywall, Wood, and Masonry; Detects up to 3/4-Inch Below Surface --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/23678036-pt6508-temperature-humidity-meter-wet-bulb-for-indoor-outdoor](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/23678036-pt6508-temperature-humidity-meter-wet-bulb-for-indoor-outdoor) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-08*
