Excellent stainless steel construction with a large capacity! This French Press/ Cafetiere is double lined so does an excellent job at insulating the inside and in turn keep the coffee/tea hot for a good hour and warm for 2-3 hours. Even with hot liquid inside the outside never gets hotter than warm to the touch so scalding yourself shouldn't be an issue. The lid can rotate and seal off the pouring mechanism which helps keep the heat in further. It comes with two spare metal mesh filters although the one already installed is good enough to last many years of service assuming you look after it! The pourer is excellent and doesn't drip. The handle is welded on and because it is straight and has a flat top to rest your thumb when pouring it is easy to get a good grip. I will finish by giving one piece of advice and one tip. Coarsely ground coffee works better and won't block the filter.. the piece of advice is pre-warm the inside with some boiling water before use as it does make a difference to the brewing process and overall heat retention. Highly Recommended and i genuinely have nothing bad to say about this Cafetiere! Packaging was good and delivery was also quick... RECOMMENDED!

The headline says it all, really... I bought the 1500ml version, which will easily hold 4 1/2 large mugs of coffee; and keeps it decently hot for around an hour (provided you pre-heat with boiling water BEFORE making the coffee!). I haven't noticed any bad flavours from the stainless steel finish vs. a glass cafetiere.It's supplied with two spare mesh filters, I found that by installing two filters at the same time, the amount of sludge that comes through to the cup is minimised, albeit not entirely eliminated (don't think any cafetiere can do that?).The arrow engraved on the lid is a nice touch which makes it obvious where the pouring recess is in the lid - although it will pour slowly even if you've got the lid the wrong way around.So all in all - I'm extremely happy with my purchase, and hope to use it for several years.

This has become an important part of our daily life. It is used for making good quality decaffeinated coffee on a daily basis. It is capable of keeping the coffee hot enough for quite some time thereafter.Throughout this, by now prolonged time, it has worked perfectly and there is no reason to believe that this situation will not continue for the foreseeable future.In terms of internal cleaning and general maintenance it is easy to disassemble, rinse out and then reassemble. This does not take much time. The outside is still in pristine condition and continues to look as good as new.This works well, is easy to maintain and has proved to be well worth purchasing over quite an extended period of daily use.

Have used stainless steel cafetieres for some time as too many glass ones have broken. I have a small one that is just about sufficient for one good mug for myself and a 1 litre one that is only sufficient for 3 mugs. Needed a larger one that would do two good mugs plus two refills and this is perfect. Excellent heat retention and refills poured as hot as the first, with no muddy dregs. I use standard cafetière ground coffee. Good looking and very easy to clean. Really pleased with this

I love this French Press with all my heart. It's huge and beautiful. Holds the same amount as most kettles, which means less running back and forth and less wasted energy. Because of the insulated walls, the coffee stays warm for over an hour, and it elicits a deep flavor that my previous ones couldn't. It is sleek and streamlined, pours well, and is super easy to rinse. No plastic parts, just pure stainless steel. Don't tell anyone, but I also use it to make tea.

Not sure about the "keeps warm for 4 hours" many have claimed as it depends on your surroundings. Whilst I can get around 3 hours in my lounge (where it's warm) I cannot elsewhere where the room temperature is much cooler. That's not to say the product is faulty, it's certainly not!If your environment is cool to coldish, rather than warm to hot, the heat within the Coffee Press is lost reasonable quickly.

Excellent cafetière. Given up on glass ones as have broken several. This is the second chrome one I have purchased as I wanted a bigger one. Keeps coffee hot and looks stylish. Very happy and would recommend.

I bought this so I can have real coffee at work and keep it warm! It's Brill! love it!! It keeps my coffee warm for several hours, I don't mind cold coffee so I can keep drinking it while it's like warm too, I think I was still drinking it 4+ hours later.
