I'm new to wet shaving, so I have no other experience with a shaving brush to reference this one with. I watched numerous videos before buying ANYTHING related to wet shaving. Ohio Shaves on YouTube loved this brush, so I bought and I'm very glad I did. There are cheaper brushes, but also much more expensive ones, so I still gave it 5 stars for Value for Money. I'm extremely happy with this brush and don't feel the need to experiment with others, whereas I've bought multiple different DE razors and blades. It's nice to have at least ONE stable aspect to my new wet shaving hobby. Here are my pros and cons: PROS: -Soft -Feels great -Absorbent - Does a great job picking up water. I usually have to shake and squeeze it out or it can pick up too much water, which is a good thing. -Make Great Lather - I use a very small amount of Sandalwood Shave Cream from Tayloy on Old Bond Stret and just push down into the bowl whiles stirring and the lather kind of explodes in the bowl. -Looks - I bought the black handle T3 and it looks great on our bathroom counter. I have a marble bowl which is scratching the finish a little, but that probably wouldn't be an issue in a plastic or porcelain bowl. CONS: -None really. Maybe price? $43 seemed kind of expensive for a synthetic brush, but cheap compared to some badger and boar brushes. Anything cheaper could be real junk, so I didn't hunt for something to save $10+/- after seeing a bunch of glowing reviews on YouTube and Amazon. I highly recommend this brush, but then again I have no experience with other brushes. My experience with this one has been great and i would buy it again.

I prefer synthetic brushes, they are softer on your face, nose, and on the badgers. The T3 is fantastically fluffy and large, with a nice sized handle that is comfortable to hold. Lathers as good or better than any brush available, it is simply the best. If it came in a travel tube instead of the box it would be perfect.

Over the last 45 years, I have owned several boar and badger brushes, all of which were mid-range or higher in quality and price. The T3 is my favorite so far. It manages to be soft, yet have sufficient backbone and texture to making lathering easy. I have softer badger brushes, but overall, I prefer the performance of this brush. It holds water and heat well.I have tried one other synthetic brush. It was a WCS-branded brush. It performed very poorly, holding very little water. It felt almost like a thick, round, paintbrush. Unfortunately, the brush is too large to fit my current stand, so it'll need replacement. I might've picked the T2 if I had figured that out in advance. Apparently, it's fine to dry these just standing on the counter, though, so I might just do that.

This is not my first Simpson brush, but it is my first Simpson made from synthetic fibers. It is super soft and does a great job building lather. Much better than other synthetic brushes I've tried. I've tried a lot of different brushes over the last decade, and I've settled on Simpson brushes as my favorites. I find that the feel of their knots combined with the quality of their handles make for the best overall lathering experience. This brush nails the handle with the same quality feel that you get holding any Simpson brush. The synthetic fiber knot is better than any other synthetic brush I've tried. It doesn't quite match the feel and lathering capabilities of one of their similarly sized best badger knots, but is close and it also costs significantly less. I wish these brushes had been around when I started wet shaving about 8 years ago. I could have saved a lot of money. Pair this brush with a Feather Popular and you have an amazing budget shaving combo that will last forever.

Perfection, a great small brush with plenty of backbone for lathering around my beard. Fits in the hand nicely and able to hold the base of the bristles while applying soap. No odd odors and drys up quickly. Packs easy for travel.

I've been shaving with a safety razor and brush for almost 10 years now and have owned five brushes before this one--four Semogue boar brushes and one Fine Accoutrements synthetic. This brush cost about the same as each of those but is hands-down the best of the lot. The Fine synthetic was my first synthetic and I quickly learned that synthetic brushes can whip up lather every bit as good as boar brushes, while being easier to maintain (no funky smell after a while) and not requiring an animal to be sacrificed just so I can put soap on my face. The only problem I had with the Fine synthetic was that the bristles are a bit long for my taste and I'd have to pinch the bottom of them to get the splay that I like while face lathering, so I started looking for smaller brushes. Decided to see what Simpsons had in stock since they're so famous for high quality but expensive brushes and was pleasantly surprised to find that they offer this line of synthetic brushes for a significantly lower price than their mainstream line. I was tempted to try the T3 since it is available with a black handle which matches my bathroom, but its bristle length is as long or longer than the Fine brush so I wasn't sure whether it would resolve the splaying issue. Taking no chances, I snagged the tiny T1 and am really glad I did. This brush develops high quality lather better and more quickly than any other brush I have ever used. If they ever release a version with a black handle I will snag that one too and use this as my travel brush. I think it would be very hard to find a competitive brush at this, or perhaps any, price.

High quality, odorless, synthetic brush. Brush is soft and lathers well. Soft bristles require a bit longer to pick up soap from cup than my previous brushes but it is much softer / more comfortable on my skin.

This really is a great brush. It costs almost as much as my razor, a Merkur 34C, but it is quite comfortable and worth it if this will be brushing around your face. I have fairly sensitive skin around the cheeks, and got pretty messed up after using a rotating acne brush, so using a brush was actually what gave me the most concern when thinking of getting into shaving with a DE razor. The first brush I got was more of an impulse buy, and was made of some pretty cheap material that did not go well with my skin at all due to the rough ends of the bristles, but I'm glad I found this brush shortly after. This brush can be great for anyone, but it is especially great for those with sensitive skin. The bristles are soft at the tips, but there is still plenty of backbone to the brush. I use a tube of Proraso when shaving, and consistently get a thick and rich lather. The build quality is fantastic, and I love that cream/ivory color to the handle. Great brush, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Outstanding quality. I expect this item to last me the rest of my life.

Simpson Trafalgar Alexander – Dense, Efficient, Low Effort Lather Machine I have been rotating three brushes: Simpson Trafalgar Alexander, Edwin Jagger badger, and a Parker Silvertip. Imho, the Trafalgar Alexander is the most mechanically efficient and consistent of the three, especially with dense artisan soaps like Barrister and Mann Seville. Simpson Trafalgar Alexander (IMHO) Pros: Very dense knot with excellent backbone. Loads quickly and builds lather fast with minimal effort. Hydration feels predictable and repeatable. Great bang for the buck. Cons: If you want a “luxury badger feel”, this is more performance than indulgence. Edwin Jagger Badger Pros: Initially felt slightly poky, but after a few uses it settled beautifully. Once broken in, it is highly responsive and can build lather as well as the Trafalgar, while feeling more luxurious on the face. Cons: Needs a couple of minutes soak in warm water to perform at its best. Handle could be about half an inch taller for ergonomics. Parker Silvertip (IMHO) Pros: Very soft tips and plush feel. Cons: Requires more work to load and build lather with dense soaps. It holds water deep in the knot and feels less responsive. Bottom line: imho, if you want fast, consistent lather with minimal effort, the Trafalgar Alexander delivers. If you want similar performance with a more traditional luxurious feel, the Edwin Jagger (once broken in and warmed) is excellent.

El producto es bueno ya tuve oportunidad de utilizarlo y es de buena calidad lo que me pareció extraño es que en las imágenes en donde se muestra el producto la caja tiene impresa la marca del producto y quien es el fabricante y en la que me llego a mi no venía con ese tipo de caja, en la parte interior donde describe como se debe hacer el mantenimiento de la brocha viene impresa solo una hoja de mala calidad y muy sencilla además en la parte de abajo de la caja en donde se especifica el modelo y versión del producto venía escrita a mano con bolígrafo por lo tanto creo que por el precio del producto yo pensé que vendría tal y como esta publicado en la imagen en donde se anuncia su venta porque uno está esperando una experiencia más sofisticada por la marca, la historia y el renombre que tiene, no sé si todos hayan tenido la misma experiencia pero eso se me hace que tiene importancia además por el precio que uno paga deberían de tener más atención en los detalles pero en general el producto es de buena calidad si recomiendo la compra. Solo que tengan más atención en los detalles.

Buena brocha...hace buena espuma y es muy suave

Cercavo un pennello di dimensioni ridotte perché non mi sono mai trovato bene col ciuffo enorme del classico omega. Questo lo trovo molto comodo. Si potrebbe pensare che un ciuffo così piccolo non riesca a prelevare abbastanza sapone ma io non ho avuto di questi problemi. Non ho avuto problemi di alcun tipo sia coi saponi duri che con quelli morbidi. La setola sintetica rende ancora più comodo l'uso di questo pennello, visto che non occorre tenerlo in ammollo per un po' prima della rasatura: basta un po' di acqua calda ed è già pronto per prelevare il sapone.
