It offers a smooth, matte taupe finish with excellent coverage and durability, featuring self-priming, self-sealing, and self-levelling properties. Certified safe for children’s toys with minimal VOCs, it’s UV resistant, waterproof, and suitable for wood, laminate, metal, and UPVC surfaces, making it the perfect eco-friendly choice for modern home makeovers. ## Description General: - Water based - Suitable for interior and exterior use - Chalk and mineral paint formulated for wooden furniture. Also suitable for laminate, powder coated radiators, UPVC, ceramic wall tiles (we recommend avoiding very wet areas like shower/bath surrounds). Can be used for internal walls – in this case, thinning with up to 10% tap water is advised to ease application. - Also suitable for interior wood, concrete and most laminate floors with correct application – please note that maintenance may be required in these situations. - Minimal VOC content with virtually no odour - UKCA and EN71-3 certified (safe for use on children’s toys) EN71-3:2013+A3:2019 - Self-priming – no primer or undercoat required - Finish – flat, almost no sheen - Self-sealing - does not require a top coat for durability - Self-levelling - meaning little to no brush marks is achievable. Coverage: - A 750ml tin will provide a single coat of up to 12.5m2. For a durable finish, a minimum of 2 coats is required, so your 750ml tin should provide full coverage for just over 6m2 on non-porous surfaces like laminate or metal. - Porous, or ‘thirsty’ surfaces like bare wood or MDF, tend to absorb paint meaning additional coats are likely to be required to achieve a durable finish. In this case, your 750ml tin will provide less than 6m2 of full coverage. If you apply the paint too thinly, durability may be affected. ## Features - Yeah, baby! This stylish neutral with its calming, pale and creamy taupe tones, is peace and love in a tin. A complete fitter-inner you can use again and again - Perfect for updating your kitchen, bathroom, front door or just about anywhere! It is a water based, durable, weatherproof, UV resistant chalk and mineral paint specifically developed to transform your garden or indoor furniture. It is incredibly versatile, eco-friendly, smooth, creamy and virtually odourless - Requiring simple preparation, it is self-levelling (meaning little to no brush marks), self-priming and self-sealing with excellent coverage - The Al Fresco Range has minimal VOC content and has gone through rigorous testing to be certified UKCA and EN71-3 compliant meaning it is safe to use on children’s toys - With a very low, almost flat finish, suitable for wood, laminate, UPVC and metal, it is a great choice for your kitchen, bathroom, front door or just about any type of garden furniture. We make every effort to match our online colour swatches to the paint, however, we cannot guarantee an exact colour replication as images can display differently due to screen types and device settings. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Age Range Description | Adult | | Asin | B084MKK9NV | | Best Sellers Rank | 8,926 in DIY & Tools (See Top 100 in DIY & Tools) 79 in House Paint | | Brand Name | Frenchic | | Colour | Cool Beans | | Colour Code | #D5C6BA | | Container Type | Tin | | Country Of Origin | United Kingdom | | Coverage | 12.5m2 (single coat), >6m2 (2 coats) | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 4.7 out of 5 stars (1,243) 4.7 out of 5 stars | | Finish Type | Matte | | Full Cure Time | 3 Weeks | | Included Components | Brush | | Indoor Outdoor Usage | Indoor | | Is Waterproof | True | | Item Form | Liquid | | Item Volume | 750 Millilitres | | Manufacturer | Frenchic Furniture Paint | | Paint Type | Mineral | | Part Number | FC0030007G1 | | Size | 750 ml (Pack of 1) | | Special Features | UV Resistant | | Specific Uses For Product | Interior/Exterior | | Surface Recommendation | Wood,Metal | | Unit Count | 750 millilitre | | Water Resistance Level | Waterproof | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Frenchic - **Colour:** Cool Beans - **Finish type:** Matte - **Item volume:** 750 Millilitres - **Paint type:** Mineral - **Size:** 750 ml (Pack of 1) - **Special feature:** UV Resistant - **Specific uses for product:** Interior/Exterior - **Surface recommendation:** Wood,Metal - **Unit count:** 750 millilitre ## Images ![Furniture Paint - Al Fresco Inside/Outside Range (Cool Beans) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51nilpApcdL.jpg) ![Furniture Paint - Al Fresco Inside/Outside Range (Cool Beans) - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51KqMaBwheL.jpg) ![Furniture Paint - Al Fresco Inside/Outside Range (Cool Beans) - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/31T2qMYBErL.jpg) ![Furniture Paint - Al Fresco Inside/Outside Range (Cool Beans) - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41y8E2H3PeL.jpg) ![Furniture Paint - Al Fresco Inside/Outside Range (Cool Beans) - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61TM5asvVqL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Will this cover upvc?** A: Yes this will cover EVERYTHING, a light sand can be done, but you don’t need to, it just lasts a lot longer if you do. The Al Fresco range of colours can be used inside and outdoors. I’m pretty much using them on everything in my house and it’s the best chalk paint ever. You can apply with a brush or roller and most uneven surfaces it sort of self levels so you get a glassy finish. I also used this in my caravan as it doesn’t mould. I really can’t recommend this paint more highly, you could by a cheaper brand, but it would look awful and you’d end up re doing it with the frenchic, so spend a couple of extra pennies and do it right the first time. Definitely join the frenchic fan forum on Facebook it’s brilliant. If painting upvc and anything really, thin coats, the first two will look awful and you’ll question your sanity, but it all comes good and looks amazing **Q: Can you use alfresco paint on masonary** A: Never tried on masonry, only on kitchen cupboards which is amazing, there are good masonry paints available tho out there **Q: Would there be any issue with delivery to Northern Ireland as have been experiencing with some sellers** A: I wouldn’t have thought so,but I’m not 100% sure. **Q: Can i use the cream frenchie paint on a fire place?** A: Yes I've used lots of these paints all over the house ,I've used it in the grey ( different shades ) it paints well all surfaces with one coat the cream had to have 3 coats but looked great ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautiful colour perfect for bathroom panelling *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 10 August 2026* Beautiful colour and perfect for my bathroom panelling. Needed something strong and durable to take the humidity and this went on so good. Really happy with how it turned out. Applied with brush and two coats, the 750ml went far, and i only needed the one tin for all the panelling. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fabulous paint and looks great, covers well *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 4 August 2026* Excellent , as described, my go to make of paint for outside. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great paint, easy to use and highly pigmented. *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 9 December 2025* This is the first time I have used this paint but I wouldn't be the last. It's lovely to use and is highly pigmented. Dries nice and matt flat. It's one of the easiest paints I have ever used. I did put two coats on mid oak coloured spindles and door but that's was just my preference and both look fantastic. I also purchased the Tuff Stuff top coat just for extra protection especially on the hand rail which was just as easy to use. I purchased the colour Smudge which is a rich charcoal grey. Love love love the end results. Happy customer. ## Frequently Bought Together - Frenchic Furniture Paint - Al Fresco Inside/Outside Range (Cool Beans) - Mister Rui Chalk Paint and Wax brush Set, 3 Pcs, for Painting or Waxing of Furniture or Other Projects, Natural Bristle Brings Even and Long-lasting Release of Paints - 750ml Dazzle Me (750ml) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/236332543-furniture-paint-al-fresco-inside-outside-range-cool-beans](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/236332543-furniture-paint-al-fresco-inside-outside-range-cool-beans) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-11-01*
