useful
I'm a therapist, currently using this with the father of a young patient, to help the father with his anger issues. We're using it via remote therapy, both reading a couple chapters as we go, and the mom is too. I'm finding it easy to read (the dad's primary language is not English and he is able to read it fine) and very useful as a springboard for discussions. The dad reports seeing himself in it, as a child and an adult, and realizing things about himself that he didn't before. He reports using it to help him not only with his child, but at work. So far, really good!

This book on controlling anger was strangely enough a joy to read. It was well written and full of lots of information, useful ideas and helpful examples. I actually think this should be required reading for everyone, not just those in close contact with children. My favorite analogy was that anger is like a dog focused on a squirrel and it is up to us to make sure it's leashed and not able to run wild. I really liked the way anger was treated as just another emotion in this book yet at the same time the author stressed that while there are healthy and unhealthy ways of dealing with anger, there is no pretending it doesn't exist or banishing it completely. Reading about anger from a child's point of view was quite interesting and should be enough to motivate empathy in even the hardest of hearts. The tone of this book was supportive and encouraging, and I'm happy to say that this book has earned a very warm spot on my "read again soon" list.I received a free copy of Am I Yelling?, but that did not affect my review.

Ok but would not recommend
More than half of the book is very repetitive claiming that traffic, stress at work and outside conditions are the main reasons for anger and yelling. I am a stay at home mom so I didn’t feel identified with his reasons. He mentions some good strategies but nothing I haven't heard before. I was expecting better options and more references. Overall is an ok book since is really short and easy to read but there are better books out there.

This kindle ebook is such a lifesaver for our family !
We are a happy family but every now and then we have a sweet grumpy child at home.I tried some of those methods which I thought they are working for our family and it’s really worked out brilliant, the book gives a variety of 45 strategies to control and manage anger. After all, we all have a better family life even in those “grumpy” moments we know how to handle it now and to react better. What I really do like is that the author doesn’t stumble around or describing the strategies all over. This book is well written and completely informative, Even busy parents can find time to read it or listen as an audiobook …I decided to order the paperback book as well. So I can underline sentences and the strategies so I can back and over check them. Can’t wait for my book to arrive.I already recommended it to two of my colleagues at work

The best book I've read in my life
We all struggle with maintaining good positive energy to keep calm everyday to interact with people around us and exchange positive frequency since early on the morning to the time when we ready to sleep at night. I have read couple books lately to improve the skills of keeping my smile on all day even when I have bad days. Am I yelling book was the best ever book to read personaly since it gave me better understanding of what happens to my body when I yell and the amount of anger involved that can easily destroy the peace I'm looking to keep all the time.this book provides a variety of strategies and ways to control and manage anger to avoid yelling and start seeing things defferently with more positivity in toughts and great attitude full of love to keep the body in a great mood everyday.

Amazing book
One of the best I read lately. It teaches me great lessons that I missed for years about the psychology of anger and how to control to have the best results when raising your kids. It is also good on detailing the main conponents For better communication with your kids including the verbal and non verbal which is the gestures and the body language that is very important to read kids mind without the need of yelling to them.
