Fantasy Mapping: Drawing Worlds

I like to just doodle and create my own maps. Often inspired by films I'm watching, or childhood memories. This book provides great instruction on how to create all the details that make for an awesome believable map.I wish he provided a variety of styles for the map components but you can easily flip to the finished maps section for more inspiration.

This book offers everything it says it will, but is surprisingly light otherwise. I was hoping it would have more examples and comparisons, however I am not disappointed with my purchase. Good starter book to help push you in the direction you want to go for further fantasy world mapping technique.

It has a nice layout and is a good place to learn how to plan out your fantasy map. Maybe could use more content but it is set up orderly and it will come in handy for my map I'm creating no doubt. I also wish they had a hard cover but I was happy to see it was the same length and width as my D&D books. Very good art in it too. Enjoyed reading this one and it will be referenced in the future.

This is just what I was looking for to create my maps for my fantasy world. I tried so many other map-making books, but they seemed to be directed at other needs. This one fits my novel world perfectly. I was hesitant at the price, but it was worth it. Thank you!
