This Imperial Jasper has a rich pattern and soft botanical colors that remind me of a June garden plot just on the brink of exploding into bloom. The greens are pale, as is the spring leafy growth before it matures into the darker shades of mature foliage. The small streaks of brown are reminiscent of the patches of soil beneath the growing flowers. By August, these will be obliterated by the overlying mass of intertwined flowers and their greenery...pleasant thoughts for a wintery day working on the Christmas tree!
