Does this only need an ethernet cable for power or does it need a power adapter also? I tried plug mine up and it has no power with both.

Another way is to connect it to a PoE switch (IEEE 802.3af, 48V active) with an ethernet cable, and when the PoE switch connects to the power and Internet (such as a router), the camera can receive power and network from the PoE switch. 3.
