Great quality but more importantly - it works!
I purchased this Red Yeast Rice for my aunt who's been taking it for high cholesterol. She was asked to go on cholesterol meds several years ago, but decided that she'd try something natural instead. She's managed to have the cholesterol under control for several years now using Red Yeast Rice, and this is her favorite brand. She finds that the concentration of RYR is higher in this product than many others, and she says that it's better value for money too. I personally think that it's great that this brand uses a vegetarian capsule and is completely gelatin-free. Mu aunt has recommended this item to several of her friends, and it seems like Amazon still has the best price for now, so we'll continue to purchase from here for as long as that stays the same.

Red Yeast Rice is Working !
I decided to try this product after my doctor wanted to put me on cholesterol lowering drugs. Took those drugs in the past and they made me feel awful. Heard about Red Yeast Rice on the Dr. OZ show and decided to try it. Is now been 6 weeks since starting them, just had a blood test, and so far my total cholesterol count is LOWER by almost 25 POINTS!!! My husband now takes them too!! Highly recommend trying!

Bad Taste?
I have no problem with this product but i do have an issue with the manufacturer who placed a label on the lid of the bottle i got which states, "To receive a free bottle call 1-888-633-0536" which I have done and still have gotten no response back or free bottle. So even though the red yeast rice in the bottle did not leave a bad taste in my mouth, the manufacturer did.

Red Yeast Rice Extract Works
I have been using Genetic Solutions Red Yeast Rice Extract for about 2 years now. Before I started using Red Yeast, my cholesterol was 224. It has since decreased to 143. My doctor wanted me to start a statin drug. He agreed to let me try this instead. My doc no longer is trying to get me to use a statin drug. I believe that this product is working and it seems to be a lot easier on the body than other cholesterol products.

Red Yeast Rice extract
I am not a doctor, but I had read in a health magazine about red yeast rice extract lowering cholesterol. My cholesterol had been hovering at 206 ( which is not bad) but since I have diabetes, my doctor wanted to put me on statins, which I refused. When I read the article I figured I had nothing to lose so I bought some. After taking it faithfully for two months, I had my regularly scheduled lab tests done (A1C, choesterol, triglycerides, etc.). My doctor said it was the best results I have had in a while. All results were great. Now, I have been dieting and exercising for a while, and had lost 10 pounds, so I cannot state with certainty that the red yeast rice extract was the only reason my cholesterol was down to 170, but I do know that without it, I had not been able to lower it. Red Yeast Rice Extract is now part of my daily diet and supplement plan.

TRY THESE
I had issues with cholesterol meds so my doctor told me to try this with the COQ-10 that I already take. It is recommended to take both. Some other patients said it worked. I was taking 2 per day and it didn't work. So, we decided to take 2 in the a.m. and 2 at lunch. After two months, my cholesterol had dropped. I'm continuing to take these and will retest in a couple of months. It's certainly worth a try for anyone as opposed to meds.

11/6/14: i've been using Red yeast rice since August and will have my labs done in early Dec and will report back the results. There's real no outward change (none is expected) from using this product but hopefully the labs will reflect a significant improvement!
