Not as advertised
This chain does not come with your “traditional” Master link. It comes with a horribly designed “snap-on” masterlink which is pretty much a normal masterlink without the safety clip. FALSE ADVERTISING

A little work to adjust the size and now works perfect.
Was cheap and works great. However, for my girls 18 in bike, we had to make it smaller. My husband aftwr trying to pry some links off gave up and said I bought the wrong size and we'd need to buy a new one. I turned to youtube and finally found a youtube video on how to make a chain smaller. Luckily we had a 2x4 piece of wood, a drill and bit to make a small hole in the wood and a tool and hammer to knock out the middle of the chain piece to make it smaller. Once that was out, it was easy to adjust the size and fit it as needed. Happy with the outcome. Would like if it came with instructions to adjust the size so didn't have to turn to the internet though.

Strong and Easy to Install!
I am currently in the process of restoring a Haro BMX bike and needed a affordable yet high quality chain for it. I have used KMC chains in the past and have always had good luck with them so I decided to give this a shot.In order to install this chain you will need a chain breaker. It does come with a masterlink but you will still have to shorten the chain to the proper size for your bike. I recommend getting a high quality chain tools such as the ones available from Park Tool as inexpensive ones sometimes are even capable of breaking a high quality chain like this one. Once you have the chain cut to size it is very easy to install it with the masterlink. It also comes with directions so even if you haven't done this before you can do it no problem. I've been riding multiple bikes with this chain for months and have never had any issues whatsoever with them. As long as you keep them lubricated they are very quiet and they are as strong as it gets.Overall for the price you really can't beat this chain. It is easy to install and super strong. I would highly recommend it!

Extremely Durable
Bought this almost a year ago as a replacement chain for my '58 Raleigh Sports and I have yet to come across any defects. This thing is ridden in hilly Ann Arbor more than 60 miles a week during the school year. I oil it only occasionally and I admit that I'm not too good with routinely cleaning the chain (I think I've maybe done it twice? oops), but I have yet to notice any sort of stretching or excessive wear. For the price and what it is, I think it's a very good chain and I'm about to buy another one for another bike.EDIT: After 15 months and nearly 2000 miles of city riding, it's finally time to replace my first Z410. Most riders replace chains every 2000 miles on average (those who pay attention to chains, that is) taking rider weight, terrain, climate, and everything into consideration. It has been suggested that when the 12 inches worth of chain (24 links) becomes 1/16" longer, then it's time for a new one. My chain has now reached that point and seeing that I have taken VERY POOR care of this chain, I'm impressed that it has had an average life span. I will be more careful from now on but because I beat around town every day through rain/snow/sun/salt, the new chain will again see more than its share of abuse. No worries, as these things are just so beefy. The Z410 has been the go-to chain for all of the single gear/IGH bikes I have built and will continue to be until I find something better.

!Great Price! Durable!
Just what I was looking for. While redoing my 17 year old Redline Slash was looking for a chain with some color, tired of black. Like, really tired of black! Bought this one and it was exactly the look I wanted. got the vintage, 80's Freestyle look I was hoping for. Easy install and holding up nicely.

If this is your first time replacing a chain, make sure to pick up a chain breaker tool!
The cheapest 1/8-inch wide bike chain anywhere! If you're not sure what width your current chain is, use a ruler to measure the space between the interior sets of plates on your chain. The common chain widths are 1/8 or 3/32 inches. Generally, purpose-built single-speed/fixed gear bikes use 1/8 chains, whereas single-speed bikes converted from geared/derailleur bikes use 3/32 chain. Running a 3/32 chain on gears designed for a wider 1/8 chain will result in very stiff operation. This KMC chain came with a masterlink and instructions to install it with pliers. Because the chain is quite long, you will still need a chain breaker tool to take off the excess links. You can find these for ~$10 on Amazon. I recommend spending a little more (~$20) for a bike multitool that includes allen wrenches and a chain breaker. To remove the masterlink, you can either buy a purpose-built tool (useful if you're taking your chains on and off a lot) or use pliers to force off the spring clip. The advantage of using the master link to disconnect your chain (vs. a chain breaker tool) is that the links reconnected with a chain breaker are stiffer.

6 stars would be well deserved
I build high end custom electric bikes and am always looking for quality parts that help shave a few bucks off. Honestly for the price I wasn’t expecting much. Chain arrived lightning fast and unboxing blew me away. The beautiful gold glare was just what I was hoping for or more. Wow. Well then it must be weak... nope. Zero issue there as well. The chain is handling 3000 watt (think of the most powerful muscle car you know of) systems with ease and is now going on a new 9000 watt (think insane top fuel funny car) bike with confidence. Excellent excellent value.

Great for our 12" bike
We purchased this to replace a broken chain our daughter's 12" bike. It included a master link which made installation easy peasy--once my husband figured out how to do it (I didn't quite get the hang of things, but...I was just going by instructions I found online, which didn't include how to use a master link. Trying to connect bike chain links is HARD without the master link). So what do I like about this? Well, it was fairly easy to install. It was long enough for a 12" bicycle. We used about 2/3 of it. The kids are using the last 1/3 as a toy snake. What didn't I like? I would've appreciated some instructions on how to use the master link. It probably would've saved me an hour or two, plus an evening of annoyance.

Decent Single Speed Chain
NOTE: this chain is for single speed/fixed gear bikes that use 1/8" cogs. If you've got a 7/8/9/10 etc speed with deraileurs this will have the wrong pitch and not fit your chainring/cogs.My 'street' bike is a POS single-speed that had a tired-ass chain that recently had started skipping because it has stretched almost a whole link length. I bought this as a replacement and it has been great. It's definitely solid (as most 1/8" chains are) and good looking in silver finish - the only new, shiny thing on there bike! Shortening was easy with chain tool and installing was easy with the included master link. Good so far!
