Educational Insights Circuit Explorer Rover Circuit for Kids, Space Toy, Building Set, STEM Toy, Gift for Boys & Girls, Ages 6+

After reading through the book with my 7 year old son and explaining how the circuit works, and building the designs with him, my son immediately spent the next couple hours (!!) taking them apart and building new things. He had SO much fun experimenting with whether something would work if he moved this or that to the front or back etc. At first he asked me a couple times why something wasn't working but he picked it up quickly and that turned into him building things then coming to me asking me to guess if it would work or not based on his design and he loved trying to trick me lol This will be on the top of my list to gift to his classmates as we attend birthday parties this year!

My 6 year old loves to use her imagination and build different things so I knew this rover set would be perfect for her! It is also a good way to introduce STEM skills to her in kindergarten and she is also learning fun things like how to build a circuit even at 6 years old! All of the pieces are durable and high quality and I love that these circuit explorer sets can be played with for years to come! The instructions are very easy to follow and although I had to help her a few times, overall she was able to create most of it all by herself! She was so proud of herself and I was too! She even built an obstacle course afterwards for the rover to drive through! We have been looking for fun and educational ways for her to keep learning after virtual kindergarten and these sets are perfect. This would be the best holiday gift, birthday gift and just to keep them busy learning and having fun toy! It keeps her occupied for HOURS! We can’t wait to purchase more of these awesome sets. Highly recommend!

My 6 year old son loves this toy and wants to buy the whole set. We had to request a new one because one piece came broken. It took the seller several months to respond but once they finally did, a new set was in the mail within days. We didn't attempt a return through Amazon because even with the broken connection my son really enjoyed the toy. The connections are a little flimsy so if your kids are rough (what kid isn't) it may end up damaged. But, it's provided lots of entertainment. I wouldn't call it educational because they aren't really figuring out circuits the way you would with Snap Circuits, but it's cute and fun to build and play with.

Compramos este juguete por que mi hijo ya tenia la base y queríamos completar todo el juego, nos ha encantado, siempre llega antes de tiempo, muy bien empacado y con sus piezas completas, las instrucciones son muy claras e intuitivas para que los niños las puedan seguir.Nos encanta, lo recomiendo mucho, ademas que fomenta la creatividad y la exploración tecnológica en los niños-Super genial!!

I ordered the rover and the rocket set. Between the two sets, the rocket set is definitely a good first intro to the world of Circuit Explorer! Making the right connections was easy to follow and understand. Once it all comes together, the lights of the rocket make it all come alive!The rover set is a bit more difficult as there are similar pieces, so if not careful, can be put together incorrectly. It is a great way for kids to problem solve as to why the circuits are not connecting as they should. We noticed that the instructions showed a piece with the wrong color, but the function is the same so it still came together. Again, it was a great opportunity to talk about the science behind these connections. My kids loved seeing the rover move!There aren't just great toys, but a wonderful way to bring circuits to life!

Starting with the little astronauts and robots all the way to the moving rovers, our 3 and 6 year old boys were so excited to build each part of the Circuit Explorer Rover set! We love that there is a manual to show examples of vehicles that can be made but this product is wonderful because it also allows for kids to create their own versions by extending and/or breaking apart different parts. Our kids were so astonished when they first saw the rovers move and light up. After a bit, our kids built an extended rover by joining the pieces together and were so excited about their new creation.This set even includes a charging station, which was a great way for the kids to see how a vehicle can be powered up electrically. The kids learned so much about making a circuit by learning how to match different parts of the set together.

My 5 year old son loves this toy! He was able to put it all together on his own with very little direction from us (aside from putting in the batteries!) It has the plus of being educational while he is building and having fun. It lights up just enough to be fun but not overwhelming. Once we built the toys and learned about circuits, he can take it apart and rebuild it into all kinds of other cars. He played with it for hours after opening it, which is a win in my book! It goes great with the circuit explorer rocket and base station to create all kinds of fun set ups!

I'd give this a 5 stars review instead of 4 if all the pieces are in the box. The set that I got is missing two pieces. Luckily, they are minor part that are not very important to miss, but still is a bummer not to have them. It does take up a few batteries, so buying a rechargeable batteries is probably a good idea. We can create others shapes besides what are shown in the instructions sheet.Good overall, I'd suggest to make sure all parts are included (of course nothing is perfect, but keeping it at minimum would be desired). I did purchase another set for the rocket and that came with all the pieces.
