Aqua Net Extra Super Hold Professional Hair Spray Unscented 11 oz (3 Pack)

I'm very sensitive to the cheap artificial smells of hair products so this unscented version is perfection for all my purposes. Yes I use it in my hair if I'm dressing up. But actually I bought this more for 3D printing. I love putting holograms onto my 3D printed objects. The problem is those holographic plates are very smooth and the melted plastic does not like sticking to them. You could put 3D printing glue on the plate but then the plastic won't absorb the microscopic detail required to have a hologram. The superior alternative is to take hairspray and wipe a very thin coating onto the plate. This allows for a fantastic transfer of the holographic ridges while increasing the stickiness of the plate by 100% at least. Just look at my video. I used the least sticky plastic too (PETG) and the hologram transferred beautifully. Also it's great on regular plates because the plastic snaps off very easily without damaging it. Plus I have an unscented hair product that doesn't aggravate my allergies. Win times 4.

Aqua Net is old school hair spray and it works GREAT! I have to buy the three (3) pack because the residents at my mother's assisted living facility tend to walk off with them. I'm 63, and Aqua Net is the only hair spray that I ever remember my mother and grandmother ever using. It was the only hair spray ever in the house. It has been around forever, and there is a reason why. IT WORKS!

I have used this hairspray for years. Tried other brands, including salon products recommended by my stylist, but always go back to AquaNet. It is inexpensive, does the job, and is unscented.

My uses do not involve hair. I spray down heated, removeable 3D printer bed plates. This hair spray has a glue effect to hold the 1st layer of plastic to the build plate and also makes prints easier to remove by providing the insulating layer between plate and plastic. Its odorless so leaves no annoying smells when the build plate heats up. It doesnt seep into the plastic, but merely helps hold it to the build plate. And its very easy to wash off both the printed model and the build plate with a little dish soap and water. Just dont spray this directly on printer parts as it does work like glue. Also because 3D printers nozzles can get very hot, you want to avoid getting it on your hot end parts. It is a flammable chemical and should not be sprayed on high temperature parts or used near open flames.

This last order of Aqua Net Extra Super Hold Professional Hair Spray had problems with the spray. I have used it for years with no problems, but not with this last one. The spray was very wide. Got all over me, mirror and wall. All three cans. The return time is up so ?? My hairdresser tried to change to different nozzle on one but that did not help. I am now afraid to order another set.

Using for 3d printer bed, works great, just need to watch for build up, was plate often.
