English breakfast tea replacement
I bought on a recommendation from The Tea People themselves, and it’s a perfect replacement for English Breakfast tea bags, as the tea is strong and with flavor. If nothing else, buy the starter pack or the smallest amount you can, and if you don’t like it, you haven’t lost much, but I don’t believe you will be disappointed and indeed will buy more!

Tea that is well presented in a nice tin
We love trying different teas and this one looked great, the tin is really nice and lovely to keep after the tea has been finished. The tea leaves actually almost look like instant coffee, which is unusual.I like a range of teas including Assam. When trying this one though, although it has a great taste award we enjoyed it but didn't really feel that it was anything special. It didn't stand out above other leaf teas we've tried, but is definitely better than by tea bag.Second try made it slightly stronger and it is definitely better. Good but not outstanding.Hope this is 'helpful'

Marvellous tea
This is superb Assam tea, which makes a nice strong - but mellow! - cuppa.

Enjoyable loose black tea in a useful canister
The canister is well designed and has both an inner stopper and an outer cap which keeps the tea fresh. I used a Tisane to make a cup and found only a few stray leaves escaped from the Tisane. The tea is pleasantly strong and aromatic - a typical Assam, which I found very refreshing. This tea and canister can be recommended.

A nice strong cup of Assam tea that helps schools and comes in a lovely tin
I review quite a lot of tea for Amazon. Most is not as good as this. It makes a nice strong mug of tea, full bodied without too much bitterness, and a slight sweetness.I also review quite a lot of new brands claiming to be sustainable or ethical. This one actually started from the need to raise money for Darjeeling schools, and is founded by a couple originally from the tea-growing area, who had migrated to England, who started off by crowd-funding improvements to a run- down school and then realised that the problem was large and they needed to do something more sustainable in the long term. They have committed to putting at least 50% of the profits into local education, so the painting on the tin of two school girls in uniform is justified. The tea is quality Assam – processed using the Crush Tear Curl CTC method rather than showing long whole leaves – but it is wholesome and strong. Best brewed with boiling water about a teaspoon per mug of water, loose in the pot, and drunk strong and hot from the pot after a good five minutes brewing. The tin is classy too – with a double lid to keep your tin dry, and you will be tempted to but more loose tea from the ‘teapeople’ when you finish the tin – refills available.

Great tasting tea, attractive caddy, 50% of profits go to good causes
It’s the caddy as well as the (rather small quantity) of leaf tea it contains which appeals here. The tea is nice quality full caffeinated organic Assam tea from India so will make a nice pot of full flavoured tea, although there is only 125g in the caddy remember. The tea supplier is ‘Tea People’ and the nice pledge as stated on the side of the caddy is that 50% of the profits are used to support educational and social projects in tea growing regions. The caddy itself is very attractive, suitable for refilling and using again. The size is 13cm high by 9cm diameter and will tuck nicely away on a kitchen shelf or cupboard for repeated use.The contents are kept fresh thanks to a double lid - an outer pull off one and an inner lid with small brass coloured knob to pull off the inner lid.Its great tasting tea in an attractive caddy with profits going to a good cause.

Really good loose leaf tea!
I got this for my partner as he really likes loose leaf tea, especially black tea. It is very nicely presented in its storage tin and it’s something that could be given as a gift or as part of a hamper. The quality of the tea is excellent, according to my partner, much better than other popular brands of loose leaf tea out there. The flavour is strong and well-rounded and makes for the perfect cuppa. He’ll be buying more once this runs out!

Smooth and rich flavour, and comes in a clever caddy
This is a lovely loose-leaf Assam tea.It comes in an attractive caddy with brewing instructions on the side.It makes a smooth yet bold and flavourful brew - as you'd expect from an Assam. The caddy has a clever suction-lid that will help to keep the tea fresh - important when you have leaves rather than bags.Overall, nothing to criticise.
