Made By Johnny Women's Casual Boat Neck and V-Neck 3/4 Sleeve Draped Dolman Top with Side Shirring Premium Shirt

The Made By Johnny Women's 3/4-Sleeved Draped Dolman Top is a cute and very flattering shirt that looks great and washes well. The material is very soft and comfortable to wear, and I like how it's fitted yet baggy in the right areas. The color of the material is exactly as photographed and the feel of the fabric is very smooth and soft. It has a nice amount of stretch to it and I liked how it hugs at my hips but is loose around my chest and belly area. The stretch and cut definitely give me shape, but also has enough draping to hide problem areas. The shirt feels airy and lightweight, and I found that after washing several times that the material does not fade, pill, or stretch out. I also didn't have issues with the material being too see-through or thinned out in some areas. It's thick enough that I don't need to wear a tank or camisole underneath, but not so thick that it heats me up. The only complaint I have about this particular shirt is that the sleeve length is more elbow-length as opposed to a 3/4 sleeve, but it's only a minor complaint to be honest. While I would've liked the sleeve to be just a tad longer, it still looks attractive and is comfortable to wear - there was definitely no pinching at the arms. Overall, this is a very cute and comfortable shirt and is something I will be purchasing again in different colors.

I got two of these tops, the black v-neck and the teal scoop neck. They look so cute on! I'll pair them with skinny jeans, leggings, or maxi skirts. What I love about them is that they are so versatile.FIT: I normally wear a medium top and am a size 4-5 on the bottom but I ordered the large because I have a large bust. The large fits great but not exactly like the picture (close though). The bottom of the shirt fits like the picture (and fits perfectly) but the top is a little looser and the sleeves are not as fitted in the upper half. If I hang my arms at my sides the top DOES look like the picture - but if I lift them you can see that it is a dolman (bat-wing style) sleeve. It's actually really cute though. I could have fit in a medium but it would have been TIGHT...not skin-tight, but fitted. I think a medium may have fit too snug after a wash or two. Also, the teal scoop-neck fits a little looser in general than the black v-neck. Not sure why. VERDICT: Considering my actual size in tops and pants, I would say these run a bit small, but not too much. If you have a smaller bust than me and wear the same or smaller size in dress/pants, I'd definitely order the medium. Otherwise, I would size up unless you want it to fit snug. If you're big around the hips/bottom I might go one or two sizes up, since the bottom of the top is more fitted.MATERIAL: These are made of soft, quality cotton and I love the feel. I don't know why some of the other reviewers say they are "thin". They are about the same thickness as a regular, soft t-shirt. I haven't washed them yet but I have a ton of tops in this material and you need to hand wash cold, hang or lay flat to dry (to avoid pilling).COLOR: The teal is beautiful and looks the same as the picture. They are not see-through at all (but I bought 2 darker colors).

I like this top but it runs very big. I'm 5'8" and just under 200 pounds, 38C chest. I ordered a large and it was much too big. The boat neck top is very big and felt like it was hanging off the shoulders. Which is fine if you want that style with a tank top under and leggings but I did not. It also felt like bat wings because the upper back and armpit area had so much loose fabric. If you're top heavy (chest, upper arms, upper back) this would work great because it's got more room up top for sure. It gave me no definition at all and did not look flattering. I do really like the style though. The scrunchy part around the hips was not as cute in person as online. The shirt didn't have all those wrinkles perfectly placed in real life.The material is also thin and somewhat see through in the light blue. You could see bra outline but it wasn't so bad that I would have to wear a tank top underneath. I'm sure darker colors are better at hiding the thin material.I bought 6 of these shirts and just gave them all to my daughter who is 5'8" and 215 pounds. She's top heavy (bigger shoulders and more weight on her upper back) and these shirts fit her much nicer. Still loose enough to be comfortable but not as big on her.I am reordering in a size Medium and selecting some darker colors. If the medium fits as good as I hope it does I'll update my review.I would recommend ordering down one size if you want a fitted look and ordering your regular size if you want that baggy/leggings look.Update: got medium and it does fit much better but its still looser in the armpit area than I'd like but ordering a small wouldn't fix that or fit me. The jade color is very vibrant. I got this same shirt from another amazon vendor and they're very similar but those ones didn't have the thin material lime these and they were more fitted. Out of another 6 tops the MBJ one is still my least favorite. The pictures show size medium.

I have purchased a lot of clothes from Johnny brand. Some overpriced and some appropriately priced. With these shirts specifically, I have noticed a pattern. Out of all the shirts I purchased over the years, I kept the ones with designs (flowers, animal prints). I have returned every single solid color shirt. I saw this item has a warning of being frequently returned. I now wonder if light solid colors are what's being returned? For whatever reason, the solid color tops seem extremely poor quality, very thin and unflattering. The tops with prints seemed thicker and looked much better on me. After this realization, I will stick to prints and dark colors. I will avoid the light and bright solid color tops. I also adjusted my rating from 5 to 3 since I have had to return so many and others I kept did not last.

Should have gotten the medium, but the large is really long. Great basic top, good staple.

This looks on me just like it does in the photo. Washes well. Didn't shrink in the dryer. Love it.

This top can be dressed up or down. It is soft and cozy and looks great on. Fits as expected.
