A fun way for kids to learn about the solar system
Kids will be expected to know at least the basic information about the planets when they become adults. While they are young is an excellent time to learn it. This is especially true if the information is presented in a fun manner with colorful drawings. Luna Lucy and the Planet by Kisa Van Der Wielen does that. Kids will love the book.

A space adventure
Luna Lucy and the Planets is a great book to help children learn the planets through a fun story. The story follows Luna Lucy and her dog who take a trip around the solar system in their cardboard rocket to see what they can discover. I like that this makes it feel like an imaginative game of theirs adding an element of fun to the adventure whilst also helping children learn about each planet in a fun way and a part of the story. The illustrations are great for children to see a representation of each of the planets. Some of them are a little funny looking compared to most illustrations of them but it still works and adds an interesting aspect to the book. This is a lovely story if you are looking to learn a bit about planets with children.

Beautiful little book, well illustrated
I bought this for my seven year old grandson who is enjoying 'discovering' things science related. The fact that the information is presented in the form of a story makes it a lovely gift.
