A BBQ with actual FLAVOR!
I am obsessed with this BBQ sauce and am so bummed no stores sell it in my area (I'm far from KC). It's not super sweet and has the perfect amount of spice. You can actually taste the vegetables in it which is something I haven't experienced in a BBQ sauce. I originally purchased this for the big game for my KC themed food and will 100% buy this again. It's not super thick and sticky and you can taste the ingredients. It has a little kick to it but not super hot. It wasn't cheap but it was worth the money in my opinion.

BEST. BBQ. SAUCE. EVER.
We have one of those grocery outlet stores near us that sells overstock, stuff from stores that closed, out of date stuff, whatever. A long time ago, I bought some barbeque sauce that seemed to be from a food show or something - it wasn't a national brand, but it was just delicious - full of black pepper, spicy, not too sweet, with a depth of flavor I had never had in a store sauce before. The grocery outlet only had a few bottles, so I bought them and stupidly didn't even bother to save the bottles to see if I could buy more online.Over the years, I have tried literally every sauce in the store, trying to find one that had a flavor as good as that random one I had years ago. Finally started searching online, and came across Gates. THIS is what I was looking for. So delicious, I could drink it out of the bottle. I don't even eat meat, but I put it on anything I can think of - black bean burgers, burritos, vegetarian seitan "ribs," use it to dip french fries and veggie chix nuggets. It's perfectly spicy and doesn't have that cloying disgusting sweetness of all those store sauces. I could go on and on about Gates for 10 pages, but I won't. Just try it. You won't be disappointed. I just ordered 2 more bottles a couple minutes ago! A+
