It’s not 100% waterproof, but close. If water doesn’t sit in it, it repels it all. However, if water sits in one place for a bit, it will seep through. Fortunately it was just water, but I fell asleep watching a very boring movie. I had a water bottle in my hand. Over a few hours water spilled on the pillow on one spot. About 3 ounces went through. It didn’t hurt anything. I’m still happy with the purchase. I’m just not as happy as I thought I’d be. So I’m putting to slips on each pillow that are near me, if I’m watching TV a and I’m sleepy at the same time. I kind of build a pillow supported area around me, if I’m binging on movies on Saturdays. So I need something that is spill proof. I know that is childish. But it is comfortable and I can watch movies for as long as I want. The rest of the week, I’m super busy.The product is very good. Just not perfect.

These are perfect! They have kept my pillows like new! They wash easily and hold up well!

These are quiet. They are stiffer than cotton, but still soft-ish and quiet. I've used waterproof covers before and was woken up at night by the crunchy noise of the plastic. It always made me feel like I was sleep on a pillowcase on top of a plastic grocery store bag. These work great at keeping the sweat, drool and odor from the pillow. They wash easily and do not shrink in the dryer over several washes.

I'm so tired of ruining pillows from common things that happen while you sleep. These are great!!!Some said they weren't water proof but I saw the video review that showed the tap water pouring on them but the water is not going through the pillow protector. That SOLD me!I wound up having to see if the test held up after my son had a horrific bloody nightmare of a nosebleed. The water did NOT go through!!! I was able to get the blood out (of course cleaning it while its off the pillow) and SAVE the pillow!!!! Yay!!! Win-win-win!! I gave my mom a couple and she's gonna buy more.The only thing, I bought linen but they're polyester. It's not a big deal cause I put a pillow case over it and was better than a terrycloth feel. But thought it was worth mentioning if that means something to someone out there.Also, I do not zip them all the way up, otherwise there's air in them and it's like a balloon. But they still work and get the job done.Also, some mentioned noise. I don't find them crinkly but the may make a tiny bit of a noise next to your ear. I don't notice anything but others had mentioned it. It's not deferential for me but sensitive ears may get annoyed.

Tried others and they weren’t as nice at all. These were definitely worth the extra couple dollars and have been great!

It’s nice and protected pillow.

I am using the protectors for the filling of two pillows whose original ones where completely worn out.They are just a little pricey. Would have done with something cheaper, but could not find anything of the right size.
